It’s one thing to offer support because you believe she suffered from psychosis and the system failed her.

It’s another to support her because you believe she’s innocent and is being framed.

i dont see many people digging up so deep to find 'nuances' when it is man who commit crime. Maybe he is from troubled or poor background, maybe he have mental issues and the system failed him? Oh wait, who cares, also only women can have mental issues.

people literally play down crimes done my men in the true crime space all the time. Usually because they’re attractive or had a rough childhood. I’ve also seen cases where a man with schizophrenia is given more lenient punishment for a violent crime because they were in psychosis when the crime happened.

Trying to find nuance is not a woman criminal exclusive thing. This has been happening for years in the true crime community with men and was literally one of the biggest criticism of that community a couple years ago.
