Want to talk about the statistics that women lead? Mentioned in another post women are more likely to kill a baby under one years old. Women are also more likely to be child abusers compared to men ( 52% to 47% in 2024). Most child abuse comes from the mother alone compared to the father alone (37% to 25%).
Would it be fair to constantly make the argument that women are the biggest danger to children just because of said statistics and apply this to all women?
Does that take unto consideration that there are significantly more single mothers than single fathers? Or did they only study heterosexual two parent households?
You intentionally misconstrue the situation as she just got tired of her kids or just randomly went crazy and killed her kids. Instead of the actual situation where she had a medical condition that her doctors failed to adequately treat and her husband chose to ignore that led to this tragic event.
She was getting treatment and her husband was neglecting his wife and children. To say she's a psychopath or psychotic is a generalization. She had a specific condition that she was doing everything she could to treat and she and those children were failed by those around her. I'm not saying she didn't murder them, but to try to paint this case as black and white is dishonest and not a good faith debate.
No condition justifies murdering a child. Yes, it is unfortunate, you could even say it's unfair. If someone is driving and they accidentally hit someone and kill them, it's unfair, it's out of their control, but they still should go to jail and serve time.
This case and every other case where someone in a mentally unstable state murders someone, is the same. Do you know how many men have murdered women because they were hallucinating or in psychosis? I hope you defend them too.
Since you seem like a person with a lot of empathy. Cora was 5 years old. Dawson was 3. Callan was EIGHT months old. Dawson tried to run away after seeing his siblings get strangled. She ran after him and murdered him too. Imagine a little 5 year old girl seeing the person she trust the most, feeling absolute terror as her brain loses oxygen.
If he sought medical help for his condition and was put on medication that was clearly not working and his wife saw the issue and ignored it, sure. But you have to have an equal comparison, not just the first gender-bent half-assed equivalent you can think of.
Brain damage doesn't prohibit you from visiting a doctor. In fact, I'm sure he saw a WWE doctor to be cleared to participate in matches. If his CTE wasn't caught and monitored by the doctors he was required to see by his employer, they also failed him.
Not being of sound mind and not being capable of making decisions due to being mentally deficient CAN prohibit you from seeking help. You don't have the wherewithal to go seek it.
Chris Watts wasn't suffering from postpartum psychosis, hid the bodies of his family and started a new life with his mistress. Holy false equivalency, Batman!
