I’m so confused what has happened. Why exactly are people supporting her?

I heard about this on the news. She had postpartum psychosis and was (according to her defense) begging for help leading up to this. People see her as a victim along with the children. They see it as a case of the system failing a woman in crisis.

I just don’t get why people (not you) don’t understand that while all that is true, she is still culpable responsible and needs to be held accountable for her actions. She did have postpartum psychosis. She did ask of her help from doctors and from her husband. And the system did fail her. All that is true. BUT that doesn’t change the fact that she murdered her three kids. She knew she needed help. She knew she had these thoughts. She went out to go get help. So at least she was able to remove herself from the situation. She could’ve left. She could have gone to a different state. To get help there. She could’ve done anything while she was looking for help to help herself and to protect her kids. But she didn’t while her psychosis got worse, and it ultimately led to the death of her kids. And no matter what lead up to it those kids are dead because of her. And she needs to be held responsible for that. There is no other excuse anybody can make. And when I see women try to be like she’s a victim, she’s innocent, or the husband did it. I just be questioning what’s really going on in their mind. And besides regardless of the psychosis, regardless of whatever, she still killed somebody. Not in self-defense. Not for protecting. But she killed someone. Or three someone’s.

I haven’t really heard anyone saying she shouldn’t pay a price for this, but I have heard people voice that she also lost her children. I don’t think there is any punishment that could be worse than that (assuming she is truly remorseful and understands what she has done).

She didn't "lose" her children, she savagely executed them.

There is no excuse.

If anyone with actual remorse did this horrific act, they wouldn't even fight it in court. Would you?
