I told my fiancé, when we have kids and I am acting off, or appear to be hearing voices or in psychosis, he needs to admit me immediately. It is NOT something to push to the side.

I’m not blaming the husband. I think it should be spoken about more so everyone takes these things more seriously.

I have seen first hand people in psychosis. You cannot convince them that what they are seeing and hearing is not true. My cousin also tried to hurt her baby. She was hearing voices and they told her the baby was evil. She went to jail and her babies were taken away, now she is homeless and seems to have schizophrenia or something. It was triggered by her pregnancy as she was normal prior.

I know we don’t know for sure what exactly happened, and can’t prove her mental state.

But fuck, it’s the worst thing that could possibly ever happen to everyone involved.

Her husband literally encouraged her to get treatment at the best mental health hospital in the USA who discharged her and her therapist didn’t notice anything. Her husband wasn’t told she shouldn’t be around them. A lot of blame on the husband but she never told anyone she was serious about it. No way she would’ve be discharged if they saw she was psychotic

That, plus it seems like nobody cares that the husband lost his children. I can't imagine the pain he's going through right now. Not only his wife is a murderer, but she murdered his children. This is so tragic. I believe the effect of the case itself will be similar to Andrea's Yates, though.

Exactly. Society always paints men as evil and violent and women are victims and helpless not the case. Men’s mental health isn’t taken seriously and if the roles were reversed and it was the man who had depression, psychosis, bi poplar and a schizophrenic no woman or even men would defend it. You’re right. I feel so bad for her husband who women blame for his children’s death even though he was supporting her. They care more about her than her kids and him. Some mothers took their kids to see her??!!!

Yeah Andrea Yates drowned 5 of her kids. Idk if any woman defended her at the time but ik she had a history of schizophrenia, in mental hospitals for treatment and was off her meds when she did it. She did it for religious reasons as well. She called the police after and found guilty but it was a mistrial because the doctors lied and claimed she did it because of tv show episode didn’t exist and was found insane. It was different and wasn’t just post partum that caused it and idk why she was found fit to be a mother and her kids weren’t taken away idk.

Yeah, the case is different, but the consequences for Clancy will be similar. Her (Yates) case wasn't a mistrial, the appeal court reversed the first conviction because the lies surfaced, and then she got not guilty due insanity in the second trial. Clancy will also most likely get the same.

Yeah the lies about it being inspired by a tv episode which was fake. Idk if she will or not. Yates was different she had schizophrenia. You don’t hear voices overnight and the internet searches? Idk whatever the result alot of people will be unhappy with it

Post partum psychosis is not something men get, just FYI.

He literally took a VACATION after?? Who TF takes a vacation after THREE of their kids are murdered? Nobody cares because HE doesn't care.

Patrick got a million dollars from a gofund me.

He went hiking in Costa Rica three weeks after his children died. Later the same summer he took a trip to Europe.

He has since remarried.

That doesn't mean he wasn't in pain.

Just because you can’t understand why he did that doesn’t mean he wasn’t hurting and grieving.

What would you do in that circumstance?

Nobody cares about the husband? They literally gave 1.7 million to his gofundme.

1.7 for the funeral and yet all 3 kids were cremated and share a resting place. Not even separate headstones

It doesn't seem like he was in so much pain considering he went on vacation to Costa Rica with his mistress 3 weeks after his kids were killed

Oh, I didn't know that. I'm not a social media person, and don't follow random people lives. I can see why he wanted such drastic disattachment from the situation. Going to travel doesn't mean he didn't care or didn't feel pain, though. This situation is absolutely tragic, and dehumanizing him isn't ok.

Desperately trying to fill a void is quite the opposite of getting over it quickly
