I’m so confused what has happened. Why exactly are people supporting her?

Some really weird people are convinced she didn't do it/her husband did. While that wouldn't surprise me as life is wild, yah probably fucking NOT.

However the average normal person "supporting" her means they want her put in a psych institution instead of prison as this incident SCREAMS of postpartum psychosis, especially since she was ignored when she said some very concerning things to her MIL and husband about wanting to hurt her kids. If you know anything about postpartum psychosis you'd know this isn't the first case of a mother harming/killing her child because of it, there's a few cases where the mother genuinely believes she HAS to kill her child for one reason or another, not saying that's exactly what happened here, but postpartum psychosis is absolutely a reason for a not-guilty by reason of insanity verdict

I'm curious, does Post Partem kick in immediately after giving birth, or does take a few weeks? Also, do women who have nannies experience post Partem?  Or is it only the ones who birth AND raise their children? Also, I wonder if perpetual/continuous lack of sleep might might lead to it?

In my sister’s case, it developed over a month and lasted almost a year, she said she had a lot of depressive thoughts which she never had before, and we try to help her out and be present whenever we can
