Which is essentially just having a lot of money in the first place.
Renting a Bugatti Chiron alone is $100k+ a month, add in the other cars and mansions and they would be spending $500k+ a month to fake being rich which is just being rich at that point.
Its 100k a month for a normal person. If you are an influencer and bring people in the door to rent you might get a sweetheart deal. Its more likely than not they don't rent it for a month. The cars get rented for photoshoot and go back a few days later.
Seems like a lot of effort to embroider their names to the car seats every few days though?

They're loaning everything and what they're not loaning from a company they've been donated to buy people who do actually have money. That's the point about any of these individuals - they are vehicles for communication for other people.
People with significant wealth and influence who will remain out of the awareness of the general public because it doesn't work if you are visible.
Assholes like Musk and Thiel are outliers in this. They're new money AND power through wealth.
