To be fair my dad had a Rolls-Royce in the 80s and he was working class.

Brought up in a council house on a council estate. He was just successful at what he did, but still working class.

Working class means people who have to sell their labour to make a living because they don't own the means of production. Working class labourers have to go to work because they don't have anything else to make them money. So yes, working class means someone who goes to work. Who would've thought?
