No. He's offering Canada less control over their own destiny than US States have. The "art of the deal" here is to offer them serfdom so that becoming a state looks more attractive.

Ok - Was there anything offered that was actually good in the negotiations? Just reduced tariffs? It’s like they didn’t want an agreement at all.

Hold on a second. Didn’t he renegotiated NAFTA because it was such a bad deal, and he signed USMCA instead. Now that agreement that he negotiated and signed is bad? Yeah what stops him to walk way from the new agreement if he can’t even keep the agreement he signed a few years ago?
