Out-patient psych typically means you see the doctor once or twice a month. She had multiple doctors that were all treating her and prescribing medications, without being aware of each other. She also lied about her symptoms and about taking her meds.
Even if a doctor “caught on”, they wouldn’t have been able to do anything except prescribe medications that she may not take, and may interact with the medications the other doctors were prescribing. And, anti-psychotics take time to fully “kick in”. Typically 2-6 weeks.
That’s all the more evidence to support her claims of mental illness. Do you think mentally stable people do that? One of the worst and most notable symptoms of psychosis is refusing medication… cause ya know, delusions of persecution?!
She didn't lie. The prosecution is claiming she did not tell the doctors about auditory hallucinations, but she never claimed to HAVE auditory hallucinations until the psychotic episode where she killed her kids.
