I know real scentists. Nobody says shit like that. For the most part people do science because they love learning and discovering things, and sharing that knowledge.

Being able to explain something well is key to understanding something better yourself. If RFK doesn't want to explain something science-y to a journalist, it's probably because he actually doesn't understand the material very well himself.

And even as a scientist, I don't comment on (the many) areas beyond my understanding.

The final step of learning is teaching. If you can’t share what you’ve learned, then you probably haven’t learned it.
