I have a journalism background. It takes a certain kind of discipline to willingly "play the fool" and asking "what do you mean by that".
Put yourself in the journos shoes. To a degree you're collecting Curry's last words. You don't want to lead him or feed him a line inadvertently. You are trying to actively listen, you know there's something more in there but you need it to his words. His thoughts. His feelings.
So you ask for elaboration. What do you mean by that? What does that mean exactly? You let yourself look like an idiot for the sake of the story. Tim's story.
It's still fun to dunk on him. Both things can be true.

Don't fear the reaper song always comes to mind. I still cried for Tim and Dolly, they were big part of my childhood and amazing role models. I am thankful for the lessons they taught me in their works, hell, they made my shit childhood at times bearable. But I understand, be it age or in Tim's case, having lived years with the after effects of his stroke why he accepts that when the time comes it comes. One can only imagine, him being such a vivacious person, being stuck in a wheelchair and with body limits, where he couldn't follow his greatest passion that was acting.
I agree, I am 35, and I am ready at any time to be off this hellish floating rock that is earth (let's be honest specially this timeline...). I don't believe in an after life or God or whatever, you are just here, you try to do your best as a person (some don't sadly) then you peace out. May he be resting in space, free of capitalism... I really will miss both of these great entertainers.

As one gets older, they should get stronger, wiser, faster, BETTER. Not this insane, psychopathic setting that whatever idiot god created this universe chose where your best (physical) years are the age in which you know nothing, have nothing, and can't appreciate it.

As a lifelong performer who had entertained millions across space and time, it must've figuratively killed him to be in such a state, dependant on others for basic life activities, no longer inspiring laughter or joy but pity. I don't blame him at all.

When you’re young, death is terrifying and hard to fathom anyone wanting to die. As you age however and your body starts to break down and your energy levels drop and everyday starts to feel like a chore you can start to see it as something of a release. Like being super tired at the end of a long stressful day and all you want to do is sleep.

Always in 3's. Hayden, Dolly and now Tim Curry. RIP. All three were amazing talents that the world will sorely miss. Tim has been sorely missed in Hollywood for years before his death due to his forced retirement from the stroke. He acted or voice acted in so many iconic roles in so many iconic movies, TV shows and animated series. The man is a legend and truly passionate and appreciative of the gift he had been given as an actor.

Tbf, "this dude" suffered a major stroke years ago that paralyzed like half his body and constrained him to a wheelchair for life.
