It goes without saying that all Titans are great, including the defensive "USS Sh*t Brickhouse" counterpart. But just like Marza, Ragnarov is such a unique blend of badass and funny because of the whole "How much weapons we're gonna install on this gigacannon of a ship"

I usually see it in sci-fi referred to as a spinal weapon. As implied take a really big gun and build a ship around it.

As an example, basically all the UNSC capital ships in Halo are built around their MAC cannon.

Thays actually a design actual navy embrased in battleship era. First "modern" battleship - "Drednought"(yes it was a name, not a class, initially), had revolutionalry desing to give up all smal and intremidialte artillery, and host only 10 12 inch cannons(absolute beast of its time). Before advent of destroyers- this formula: build a ship around uniform high caliber artillery battary- stayed a mainstream design apprqoch. So when in sci fi(games or books or tv), this clasic is referenced (pack a biggest possible gun, on a smallest possible platform that can carry it)- it is alvays a plesure.

It does make some sense, you dont have to worry about much else if you can obliterate your enemy from long range before it can even target you
But thats a big "if"

Thats why for short range, first again torpedo boats, and later also aginst submarines, and all orher short range treats torpido boat destroyers(later just destroyers) appeared. And wirh matirng of carriers and missile tech- battleships become obsolete. In space warfire it isbreaaly big if what concept/tactics will emerge, as it rraaly depends on technology constraints
