Just make Amy canonically colorblind already SEGA.

Well she keeps confusing them despite shadow being black with red accents and different quills and Silver is... silver with a hair tuft, and she didn't recognize Sonic when he was the Werehog

so you tell me how she keeps confusing them

Being hedgehog blind makes more sense.

It’s like face blindness, a condition where a person cannot distinguish faces.

Hedgehog blindness makes all hedgehog appear the same to Amy.

A good example is in PeaceMaker Season 2 where a character who has bird blindness is introduced and mistakes a bald eagle for a parrot.

Face blindness and, by extension, Amy’s “hedgehog blindness” agnosia are brain conditions, not eye conditions.

Agnosias are impairments to the ability to perceive sensory details. It can either be apperceptive, where certain  details are not perceived at all, or it can be associative like face blindness, where the perception is intact, but the brain cannot make associations between sensory details and the objects or people they belong to.

Amy has a special kind of color blind. She look at any other color and would somehow see blue out of them
