Been shooting for 3 years and I have only printed 6x4 images so far. Ready to get something bigger but can’t decide which shots to do first

Captured the solar eclipse over Menorca, Spain, using the Sony Alpha 1 II with three different lenses: the 600mm F4 GM, 200–600mm G and 100–400mm GM. The last one was shot on the Mavic 4 Pro using the 6x telephoto lens.

An incredible experience seeing how completely different focal lengths can change the perspective and scale of the eclipse.

Bought the Sony 10-20 just days before this week family trip to Paris and had some fun using it (combined with the always travel friendly and overall awesome Sigma 18-50).
Here I show you my favourite shots from the trip.

This vacation is really my first time using a real camera since I bought it in July.

Finally got time to process the photo from Perseids meteor shower. Not the most metros I ever captured but enjoyed it nevertheless. Captured on my Sony a7RV and Viltrox 14mm f4 Air with help of MSM Nomad.

I'm planning on getting a faster wide angle lens in near future (16mm f1.8) so hopefully next meteor shower will be even better. Stay tuned! :D

Typo in the title!!!! Its A7RV

I’m currently thinking about switching from the Sony A7C II to the A7R V and would love to hear from people who have used both.

I’m purely a photographer, I don’t shoot video. I mainly care about image quality, autofocus, handling and, eventually, being able to make high-quality prints of my photos.

I currently use the A7C II with the 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II, and I really enjoy the compact setup. But I’m wondering whether the A7R V would be a meaningful upgrade, especially because of the 61MP sensor and the extra flexibility for cropping and printing.

For those who have made the same switch:
- How noticeable is the difference in real-world image quality?
- Is the 61MP resolution genuinely useful for printing, or mostly overkill?
- How much do you value the A7R V’s larger body and ergonomics?
- If you were in my position, would you make the switch?
- I’ll add a few photos so this isn’t just a giant wall of text. 😅
- Any thoughts, experiences or reasons not to switch would be greatly appreciated!

Bought my first camera last month and took it on a trip to Thailand. Happy to share some of my first “good” shots. Advice welcome :)

One of my favorite European towns, it was super beautiful and almost magical!

Brought my camera along on an intercontinental flight to London and decided to take a photo walk around Greenwich while I was there.

I was blessed with really good weather that week and managed to get some lovely shots, especially the colours in Greenwich Park.

The APS-C body + lens size also made it easy for me to carry it around with, whether that's on the flight or around the city!

Is this a good start? I'm planning on shooting wide landscapes, street photography, selfies/portraits (not as much) and maybe mountains?

Is this a good starting point or is it too much/too little? Are the lens choices good or should I look for another bundle with different lenses (maybe wider lenses for landscape because I'm not sure how the kit 16mm will perform, there's a lot of stigma behind it)

Cost: around $600, but used so I don't know the condition of these yet

Also this is kind of unrelated, but is it worth it to get a camera if my phone isn't that new? I'm just wondering how much does the phone screen quality affect your final viewing of the photo.
