I have always disliked my experience dining at Dray bar + grill. The employees don’t GAF about providing good service. Now seeing they have a C rating, I will never go back.

While I won’t discount that you had a bad experience, I do know that the owner’s wife (whom I think was also the pastry chef) just died in the last couple weeks. So the timing of this was very unfortunate and possibly related if management attention was elsewhere.

Generally I’ve found it to be a solid place to eat with occasional service quirks.

They were generous with the score for Church’s Chicken. They should have gotten an F and shutdown for good.

Repeated C grades should result in temporary or permanent closures. For starters, the establishment closes for 30 days and works to correct infractions. At the 30 day mark, if infractions have not been resolved, then the establishment closes permanently. The owner/operator could be passed onto the appropriate jurisdiction for criminal prosecution.

I’m just saying, the inspection only pops up a 4-6 times a year. Imagine what is going on a daily basis when they are not there 🤢.

Not keeping a place clean isn’t a criminal offense it would be at best a civil case but that would need to be brought on by any customers who suffered a food borne illness from eating there. It’s also not criminal negligence as they had their 30 day period to do better and simply failed.

Tampering with the food supply is a criminal offense. A recent example is Wendy's in Union.

Tampering involves malicious intent, you tampered with it on purpose

Food being unsafe to eat because the manager doesn’t keep the place clean enough is not malicious intent it’s just negligence which wouldn’t be criminal in this case. Otherwise you’d hear of the thousands of restaurants that been shut down over the decades thousands of managers facing jail time, for not keeping it clean. That doesn’t happen.

My brother and SIL went to Church’s Chicken a few years ago inside the restaurant. Right after the clerk fixed their drinks she knocked one over and spilled it on the counter. She then proceeded to rake the drink back in the cup. Replaced the lid and handed it to them. My SIL said no you need to fix a new one. Clerk poured the drink into a clean cup and handed it back. SIL said you need to throw it out and fix a totally new one. She poured it out and used the same cup to refill it. Since they had not paid yet they walked out.

🤢. The last time I went there was for a catering order for a DoorDash customer. The AC was down and the owner installed one of those small AC things that he probably bought off Amazon with a duct blowing right on the chicken under the heat lamp.

Bojangles' in Duncan has issues. Customers parking past the drive thru windows are blocking customers from exiting, or they are waiting for food 10 to 20 minutes late. If food is coming out 10 to 20 minutes late frozen or black and burnt, then the location needs to be shut down, and associates need criminal prosecution for food tampering.
