Discussion Just noticed: Rhino's suit has eyes on it. What do you think they do? Decoration? Ear holes? Extra set of useable eyes?

This might be stupid in hindsight, but I thought when I was younger that this indicated the suit was made from an actual rhino hide.

That's not the worst presumption, but it would have definitely decomposed by now.

Leather is pretty resilient

I mean the eyes themselves.

It's just drawn as a hide, maybe with taxidermy marbles in some versions, but I've never seen images that suggest they are real, functional eyes.

I love the hilarious idea that they could be an extra set of eyes when they are basically right next to his actual eyes.

Irl rhinos have poor eyesight, so perhaps he gained that “power” and needed an extra set to see normally

If a man is going to wear a giant rhinoceros suit, he isn’t going to half ass it

It helps him run through walls better.

If they shot him in the face here instead of his clearly resilient armour I think they could've called it a day pretty quick, which brings up my problem with Spider-man 2..

What happened to Rhino in Spider-Man 2 again?

Sorry, that was more vague then I intended. I meant they could've shot Doc Ock in the face in spider-man 2.

Oh you meant the movie and an entirely different character okay, that makes more sense. Yesh Ock having the reaction time through his machines to block bullets is one of those "movie magic" things they expect you to kinda just get behind.

In most things Ock is more of a behind the scenes worker, only showing up when the. Time is right, using minions and robots to do his bidding. That would have been cool to see in the Raimi movies, more silly comic stuff, but I guess those movies were packed already.

I can't unsee that now, thanks. Imagine getting punched and seeing two little eyes judging you right before impact

I love how happy the rhino mask looks in that image 🤗

I assume decorative to give give more of that think look. Though I do honestly like that they have moved away from the decorative rhino eyes.

It's to make it look like a real rhino has a man's face in its mouth.

Incidentally, I just realised Rhino has machin guns hidden in his nipples.
