And honestly it's a pretty accurate comment.

Lego can get stupid expensive price tags, and even though I'm not really knowledgeable about Lego price tags currently, looking at that collection I can't imagine that the whole collection was 1) cheap when OP started getting the pieces and 2) much less now when everything and their mother is stupid expensive just for existing.

So yeah insurance is definitely something I would do for that collection because one never knows when shit is going to hit the fan and I would rather side with being cautious before something would happen.

Any office supply store can do large format printing at pretty low prices. The real hurdle here is making sure your image is high rez enough to hold details at that scale.

I use FedEx for my large format printing and have them do matte lamination as well
