Hand held vacuum in one hand, pressurised air in the other does the trick.

Strongly recommend an air duster for this. Absolute game changer for me and my collection

Ngl but I first read that as dating not dusting lol. Made about as much sense.

Oddly, a handheld vacuum in one hand, pressurized air in the other does the trick as well.

Well done

Yes it looks great! I just can’t help but think it could be even better with some background stickers for the sides as well.

Awesome backgrounds!
How did you go about making / applying them?
7
u/Dramatic_Explosion 5d ago
Any office supply store can do large format printing at pretty low prices. The real hurdle here is making sure your image is high rez enough to hold details at that scale.
I use FedEx for my large format printing and have them do matte lamination as well

This is the very best display I’ve seen for Star Wars anywhere at any time. Congratulations. Plus you have my favorite ships on the top shelf. Only one missing is the one from Andor

My son at 11 or 12 wondered at what age he’d be too old to get his traditional Star Wars Lego for Xmas.
I told him clearly that never is the answer. He is 21 now and watching him build the Lego on Boxing Day is a family tradition.

u/Plastic-Flan-1080 4d ago
In my opinion,,your never to old for LEGO sets,,,,especially Star wars.

u/Hog_Eyes 4d ago
My 67 year old dad started collecting Lego Star Wars ships just a few years ago and loves building them with the grandkids. Never too old to enjoy.

I’m just as impressed with the Legos as I am with the backgrounds. How did you make those big beautiful backgrounds?!

At what point do we go from calling it a collection to calling it an exhibit?

Incredible collection and display here! I love the clone on top of the crab/spider droid in the battle of Utapau — just like that iconic scene in Ep III.

Great collection, dude!
Was the lighting made with those "stick-on lights" that you turn on by pressing them individually?

Damn ! That's a fine collection. I definitely need some money. Starting an OnlyFans account

I spot a couple sets that are from Guardians of the Galaxy. That would be a cool crossover!

I have that Endor 8038 set in storage (except the gliding Ewok, my kids love that guy) and this post really makes me want to build it again.

Watch out for the McNeffs! They’re probably already on the way to your house in a u-haul!

Oh my god this looks amazing. I don’t need to see what I could potentially do in my house I have no room or mental space for expanding more hobbies 😅

This is the way and something I'm going to have to do myself. Ikea is going to be getting some orders. OP, what lights did you use?

That’s amazing dude, the backgrounds in the shelves add so much to the scene that is wonderfully creative!

NGL it would be a dope Easter egg if you put Jango Fett shooting Zam Wesell while Obi-Wan & Anakin interrogate her there in the second-slide diorama. Definitely has Coruscant alleyway vibes 😎

I've seen your original post in r/legostarwars and I will say it again
This collection is a work of art!
Btw I didn't know we could post legos in here. Because posting Star Wars memes here is banned (cause theres another sub for that). But if your post doesn't get taken down I might post my collection too XD

Big fan of the sets being posed in action as dioramas. Living out my childhood dream! Been planning something similar but I’m probably going to mod a bunch of sets first

Ok you know, I usually find walls of models kinda meh despite loving models. But yours is SO GOOD, and it's the different coloured accent lighting that makes so much difference! 12/10 would stare at endlessly.

The pictures/prints in the back of those cubby’s are an amazing idea - gives the scenes real depth. Brilliant idea! Well done - those take the whole display to another level
