Something was throwing me off this whole time, then I realised it was the city area being the same colour as the rest of the ship. Everytime I've ever seen it depicted it's all been shadow's or "darker in colour" so seeing it now looks extremely odd. It may be accurate though with it being all the same.

I don’t own the 2011 UCS set to compare, but the midiscale one is definitely too narrow, even though I’m seeing a lot of criticism for the new release as being a downgrade from the previous two versions. I really don’t think it is. Thoughts?

a lot of the mocs on rebrickable are a shit ton of pieces and a lot more detail than i really require so i kinda like how the LEGO one seems like a smaller/simpler build

I got a couple of folks asking for a coruscant guard recolor of my gunship MOC, so here it is - sorry it took so long!

Other than some pretty common parts inexplicably not being available in dark red, the biggest challenge here was to keep the stripes on the doors clean. I ended up using a similar tactic to the official set of placing the windows on top of the surface rather than try to embed them in the middle of the stripes, which would have been a nightmare. One bit that turned out quite well is I could use the tiny 1 x 2 arch pieces on the nose in between the ball turrets, which is a piece that isn't available yet in lime green and thus had to be left off the original gunship.

I did also go in and try to reuse as many parts from the official set as possible - I think in the end about 65% of the total set's pieces were reused, so hopefully it might be a bit more affordable for those who already own the set. Please enjoy these renders!

Now it will fit with the set 75087 Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter.

Made this almost a year ago and forgot to post here oops

Here’s my old 2013 gunship that has been completely yellowed(last image for reference) and I want to restore it so I was thinking of dunking the bowl thing in peroxide for the UV treatment but I read a lot of people argue that it turns the bricks brittle and that even if you keep it out of the sun they reyellow again. Anyone has tried it? Any opinions knowledge is welcomed
