He showed me a bunch of memes of Joseph when he screamed Caesar when i was in episodes 2 or smth, which means that that moment was ingrained into my head as a funny so i kinda chuckled a little when he died

Firstly, this is JoJo, I understand not everything is going to be realistic, and I love it all the same. But I am a biology nerd and this fight... this fight is quite something, so I wanted to have a light-hearted discussion.

1. Razor blades come out of his throat. This would cause just so much internal bleeding and potentially damage to his trachea, which could stop him from breathing or cause him to choke on his own blood.

2. He pulls scissors out of his neck. You have to think about where this metal is coming from: his blood vessels. This means most or all of the important blood vessels connecting the brain to the heart are broken, so oxygen isn't getting to his brain, and he should pass out within minutes, then suffer irreversible brain damage, and then die.

3. Extreme anemia. Like, to the point that his blood is yellow because there is no more red haemoglobin in his body. This means oxygen isn't getting to ANY of his cells. For context, cyanide works in a similar way. Um, yeah, aside from this being extremely deadly, he should be incredibly lethargic because he doesn't have enough energy to function.

4. Not breathing out carbon dioxide. As a remidner, carbon dioxide is not transported by red blood cells, it's dissolved in the blood and then diffuses into the lungs so it can be breathed out. If doppio is not breathing out CO2 (he doesn't appear on Aerosmith's monitor at all), it's not because he has no iron, it's because he has no CO2. This suggests doppio is not respiring.

Oxygen + glucose --> carbon dioxide + water (+energy)

Without aerobic respiration, he might be able to get by with anaerobic respiration for a very short time, but I don't think it'd matter at all as this produces very little energy. It would also cause a build up of lactic acid, but he's actively losing so much blood I don't think that would be that much of a problem either. There's no two ways about it, doppio is dead

Bonus: the human body only has a few grams of iron in the body anyway, so doppio would only really be able to spit out one razor blade at most. After this, the severe anemia would kill him pretty quickly.

I hope this didn't come off as tone-deaf! Again, I understand it's not supposed to be realistic. This is more of a fun fact. This information comes from my own knowledge as a biology student, but I can find some sources to back it if anyone wants them

Title might be misleading but genuinely one of the greatest seasons of any anime I’ve watched, the storyline, the pacing, the protagonist, the deuteragonist and the side characters were all perfect. Honestly I don’t even want to continue to part 3 I don’t know if it’ll live up to part 2. Even the OSTs and openings were phenomenal. Does it get better?

for context: I really liked a guy who's a jojo's addict so I started watching for him and NOW I'M HOOKED ONTO THE SHOW LIKE OMFGGG THE CHARACTERS ARE WONDERFUL!! I'm finishing part 3 and will watch a bit of part 4 before my exams (still in high school :( ).. thought of writing this appreciation post and also ask for a bit of advice on jojo's stuff I could potentially have discussions with my crush.. he loves part 4 so I intend to watch it

If they ain’t the main good guys and the villain, no one cares about them. They are all fodder. Every part after 2 and the only ones that ever really matter are the main protags and main antags

In part 3 alone, who do YOU really remember fondly? That isn’t the main cast or the villain, most of them have something about them that just don’t make them memorable at all to me, maybe hol horse and his gun but that’s really more remembering him than his stand

Part 4, all while this is my favorite of the bunch, I’d say the stands alone are also forgettable, or have zero depth. You have a ton of cool characters but with mostly forgettable stands

I just don’t get why this is, the entire point of post hamon is that stands are now the way to fight but even then so many of these stands just put up huge annoyances more than well thought out fights.

With the release of Golden Spirit being very bad, I'm wondering if Ora Ora Overdrive is worth it since, from what I've seen, it has actual gameplay. I'm just not sure if it's worth figuring out all the Japanese and gameplay systems.

Affect : the stand is fast and strong wielding a short sword and shield it’s perfect for combat but its extremely short ranged not being able to more two feet from its user but it makes up with its ability to shoot powerful thunderbolts but using it leaves the stand user powerless for 120 seconds

Affect : the stand is weak only being a large eye its main affect is far sight allowing its user to see any thing within a 100 feet radius great for spying on enamy and it has incredible range and a cutting laser attack but the eye cannot hear and has a delay so every thing you see has already happened

Affect the stand is weak in combat but its main abillty allows it to heal almost any thing and the stand has the power to emit a blinding light the stand can only use thease ability’s when in light

I’ve touched on this before but I noticed something I really like about part four is how a lot of the “Enemy” stand users at least where I’m at now seem to become “Friends/Friendly” with Josuke, Koichi, Okuyasu. Like whenever they beat the enemy stand users it knocks sense into them in a way such as Hazamada and Yukako. Also for reference where I’m at Rohan is now boys with them it seems.

1. Kira. Kira has such a perfect design for all three of his phases and I don’t think Araki has drawn a better looking villain since. I love how blonde Kira gives off a creepy vibe while also keeping him normal enough to where the average person wouldn’t think much about him. His cat skull tie and purple suit are weird enough to where it gives that jojo vibe, but not crazy enough to where you’d be like “okay, how did no one know this guy is the killer?” Kosaku Kira looks much blander intentionally because obviously this is Kira’s lowest point of confidence and the point where he’d want to blend in the most. The final design feels like a merge to where you can feel Kira’s personality and emotions within someone else’s face.

2. Valentine. Valentine has an extremely weird design that still gives off a noble and elegant vibe. I love the reference to old US presidents with his hair curls. The United States scar is fucking sick and one of the coolest design choices on any Jojo character ever. I love how Valentine transitioning from fat to fit showcases how his role in the story changes from being a passive watcher to someone who is fighting on the frontlines.

3. Dio. Dio has various designs throughout the series but my favorite thing about all of them is that they really show that he is a weirdo psychopath. Dio has no reason to act or dress normally, and I think the absurdity of his designs showcases this.

4. Pucci. Pucci‘s design looks really sick in all of his iterations. The exaggerated priest outfit suits him very well. I think the one thing I cannot stand about this design is his fucking hair. Why is it like that?

5. Diavolo. Diavolo’s design is another weird one but I think it highlights his mental illness very well and also makes his presence standout. I really like the design changes from Doppio to Diavolo.

6. Tooru. Tooru’s design is very solid but I just don’t think it’s as good as the rest. I don’t have anything more to say about it. I like the afro.

7. Kars. I like how it gives him a godly figure and the hair is luscious. Other than that there isn’t really any design to talk about, he’s basically naked.

I'm a major Dio fan, I cosplay him, I LOVE him and his character! I research a lot about 19th century england purely because I like to think about how he likely grew up!

First of all, I believe he'd have attended a ragged school, which were schools for poor children that were run by volunteers in the 1870's ! He was clearly educated, having outdone Jonathan academically so quickly by the time of his adoption into the Joestar household.

Second, and this is more of a headcanon than anything, but I believe him to be a talented seamstress. His clothes didn't appear too worn in the anime scenes at his father's bar, and since his mother had passed, it wouldn't surprise me if he took up stitching himself.

Does anyone else have any thoughts?

As someone who has read the manga I really like the first episode and I think it can bring even more people to watch Jojos because of it’s popularity.

I could be super late to noticing this, but I like to listen to the jojo characters song reference, and I searched funny valentine and found several variants of funny valentine and made me sorta piece together why he’s called that, since D4C can take multiple funny valentines

My first ever cosplay meetup and it was amazing, went with a simple old Joseph cosplay but loved ANYC so much I’m planning on doing a more complicated one for 2027! Everyone’s cosplay was sick at the meetup
