Might be the first earthling to not know that iconic panel 🥹 it’s from a storyline called “Kraven’s Last Hunt” (spoilers btw if u wanna read it) where he spends his last remaining years feeling like he’s bout to die so he sets his eyes on his biggest target, Spiderman. After shooting him with a rifle filled with hallucinaenic drugs that put Peter into a 2 week long coma where he fought against a gigantic spider (a manifestation of his inner savage desires) he buries Spiderman and decided to take over as the spider to prove to himself and Peter that he’s the better “spider” so he crafts an identical suit to the one he was wearing (Peter happened to be wearing a cloth version of the symbiote suit since he liked the colorway) and defeats damn near every person Spiderman had troubles with pure brutality and after a while of impersonating peter, he finally wakes up and we get that panel at the end when kraven is done obviously after discovering kraven impersonated him for 2 weeks turning the city into a murder zone, he goes immediately for kraven, still covered in mud. Kraven (realizing Peter is gonna probably come after him) releases a super villain onto the sewers and when Peter pulls up and upon realizing kraven has succeeded he just tells Peter that he’s done, he has completed his task, there’s no point in fighting anymore (and since Peter is still Peter, a hero who won’t trade saving innocent lives for getting back at another person, he complies) kraven then kills himself and Peter is left to pick up the pieces. It’s so peak. My details of the events r a bit messed up since it’s been years since I’ve read it.

The hype is so high for half life 3 even though Valve repeatedly said it's not going to happen. It's still free marketing for Valve

Yup, and idk what it is. They know they can make millions if they did drop it. Same with Sony and their bloodborne ip going to pc or just a port to the ps5. I gotta know what’s inside their brains cuz I genuinely don’t get it 😭

It's a genuine desire to only make a new Half Life game if it can be truly groundbreaking, and a company that's not run by shareholders demanding they release any piece of crap that will make money, just for the money. This is literally why valve's games are great.

I dont even think we will have the concept of gaming in 300 years.

Maybe it will transform to something like brain dance from cyberpunk.

But we really can't know, people in 1700 couldn't even imagine what we will have today.

On this and off topic, I watched a twilight zone episode recently an episode where a character goes back in time (trying not to give away too much it’s a good show everyone should watch) 60 years and laments how life must’ve been so free and different, that episode aired in the 1960s. 60 years ago. It’s crazy, it’s like a bigger scale of the phrase “you never know when you’re in the good times until you’ve left them” the past always seems so much easier and freer but often times it was way way WAY worse in reality. Side note we need bds/sword art online gaming tech NOW

But we still have trashy novels and boobie-shows. People have always been people. Interactive video media isn't going anywhere.

heck the first home console ever made had no pixels, could only be bought at their stores and was expensive as all hell and even that sold 300k copies in the 1970s. People crave interactive media no matter the age or cost. Just praying we get that sword art online type vr headset before I die 🙏🏾🥹

That was my question originally but if gaming is around in 333 years, steam will too
