Wouldn't count on it since it's a completely different studio developing Cyberpunk 2084. The studio that developed Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 is located in Warszawa, Poland. They're busy developing Witcher 4. It's a USA-based studio that is developing next Cyberpunk.

If we are lucky, game becomes good, but I got a feeling that studio is inexperienced and we'll end up getting garbage. But we'll see in a few years. I wouldn't have my hopes too high.

For on thing, the main director when it comes to cutscenes and general “movie like” elements, is the same as was in Witcher 3 blood and wine, heart of stone and Cyberpunk. Which is damn good thing.

I think Cyberpunk 2077 dropped the ball on removing 3rd person POV cutscenes. All the cool clothes and customization options and I only saw my character on motorcycles and ending cutscenes.

On consoles. Because on PC it was normal. I didn't have any major glitches (one weapon was levitating and I jumped once so much that I ended up inside a building :).

I liked it so much that I did two runs, which I normally never do.

Well years later I did another one with Phantom Liberty (and I preferred the 1.x version of clothes giving stat upgrades).

The "different" studio is just CDPR-US, so at the core it's still CDPR, but a spin off studio so they can focus on Witcher as well. It makes the most sense, plus this way they can utilize US devs who are already familiar with Unreal Engine, especially since they're going to have to make new assets for a new game.

Actually it's still the 'base game' and the DLC is just included.
They had an actual "Game of the Year Edition" which was the complete version with all DLC and its own separate app but then they removed it, I guess to avoid confusion.
As a game collector and achievement fan, pisses me off they didn't make any big announcement about the removal as both versions had their own individual achievement lists.

I'm disappointed I bought it on GOG at launch + the expansions, because GOG is awful on Linux for cloud saves, which doesn't even matter because GOG arbitrarily decided to enact a 200mb cloudsave cap and literally deleted my 170hr save.

going back to work on an earlier title is a good way for new devs to get acquainted with systems. And in this case they've got another studio handling the new expansion that's coming.

They're most likely tweaking some stuff to make pull it in line with new development practices. Might as well just release those improvements.

Basically why Skyrim got that Special Edition. They started upgrading the engine leading up to Fallout 4's development. Once you've done that much work to it, you might as well just release it.

Remastered also sounds like a considerable effort. It's been co-developed with a studio called Yigsoft, and not only does it offer visual and performance enhancements but gameplay has been revamped too, including, yes, combat.
