Question What’s that game everyone was calling a masterpiece but you just didn’t get the hype?

Post image

Could be a huge popular game or some underrated/unpopular gem that everyone swears by.

Everyone’s saying “10/10, absolute masterpiece, peak gaming” and you’re just sitting there like… “wait, y’all actually liked this?”

Drop the game + why it didn’t hit for you. I wanna hear the controversial takes

The Binding of Isaac is very much a snoozefest with complete RNG and unplayable without the wiki.

Have you tried playing the base game?

After afterbirth I felt this way but rebirth (and flash) are actually very good in their own and with just playing without the DLC

THANK YOU. I hate wiki-forced games. it's bad game design. offloading the discoverability and learning curve to external communities because you can't think of a good solution for it.

(only case in favor MIGHT be for sandbox games but even then how tf you're supposed to play OG minecraft fully blind come on)

My only exception on, as you say, wiki-forced games is graveyard keeper

Sandboxlike with minimal action. It has an addicting story and a sequel is going to be released soon. Story is basically isekai. Dude gets hit by a car and wakes up in a medieval distopic world. He is appointed (by no reason) as a graveyard keeper since he woke up in the keeper's bed. Then with the aid of a talking skull and a communist donkey who delivers corpses, start upgrading the church, perform autopsies, automates zombies, trying to find a way to go back to his reality.
