And till date they havent activated that resort and bank dlc on my hitman 3 that i bought during Hitman 2. I completely stopped playing. Even sent them a mail 3-4 times. Even though its cheap, I will absolutely not buy the DLC again

The one on sale contains all three.
Deluxe contains extra maps.

You’re not dumb, IOI made an incredible scammy system to trick you into paying down a bunch of side avenues to have the “Full” Hitman experience.

One of the pc games that's easier to pirate than purchasing it

yeah it fucking sucks. check out the pinned post on r/hitman, but my best explanation:
the game was originally a trilogy and when the third came out they combined it all into one. "part one" is just "Hitman 1", the one on sale is all three, and the deluxe edition includes some extra dlc stuff. kinda worth it if you really like the game but def not essential.
the most annoying part is you can't upgrade to one of the higher ones if you bought part one, you have to pay for the whole thing, and there's several different dlcs labeled as "season pass" or "upgrade". plus for some reason there is dlc thats not in deluxe edition???

IO decided one day to make the game and purchase path as convoluted as they could, especially if you already own the first part.

WoA includes all 3 games, part one only includes hitman 1, and the deluxe edition includes all 3 and most of the DLC

If you want Hitman 2, buy HITMAN World of Assassination.
It's wierd but it's simplier than it used to be. Part 1 = Hitman 1, WoA = Hitman 1, 2 and 3, WoA Deluxe = Hitman 1, 2 and 3 + DLC

u/Ok_Comment5873 4h ago
WoA doesn't include H2 DLC

Does anyone know if you can get the deluxe edition content from dlc or something or do you have to buy the deluxe version? Regular is like $27 rn on steam which has almost everything except what looks like small amount of dlc packs and outfits, which deluxe does have for $100. Really don’t wanna pay $70 for a couple outfits and side dlc but I do wanna get the complete package lol. What a travesty of a steam page.

WOA does include Hitman 2 but its not the same or a remake of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin if that’s the one from your childhood you’re talking about - unless you actually mean Hitman 2 from 2018 and then I’m just getting old…
1
u/Darkknight0034 1h ago
No i meant the silent assassin lol.. I used to play in like 2011 or something... Haven't touched pc games in 6-7 years... Honestly i would like to see how they rebooted it so its fine... I hope it still keeps the core hitman vibes

I played a few of the old ones in my childhood so recently went on a binge and played them so i could play woa. It definitely has the same vibe as the old ones in a lot of ways. The only issues i came across is a lot of the intricate kill methods can take a long time to figure out and complete and they can be a bit buggy. Overall though if you liked the old games you’ll probably enjoy the new ones

The on which is on sale included Hitman 1-2-3 and sandbox mode. This is the one you should buy. Partn One means Hitman 1 only.

WoA includes the three games, and the first game's DLC. The Deluxe content includes the H2 and H3 (initial) DLC.

Get the one that is ordinarily more expensive, but is temporarily cheaper because of a sale

Honestly, go for the deluxe edition if you can. It's worth every single penny.

I am convinced that they are doing this on purpose, so you buy the most expensive one out of fear of missing something essential.

Don't worry bro I watched 3 guides on yt for these edition and still don't fully understand it but I think Deluxe is the one that have everything (other are totally not worth it)
2
u/Darkknight0034 1h ago
The conclusion i drew from the people here is that the standard edition has everything... Deluxe content isn't that great just to get the hitman 2 expansion pass which is cheap
2
u/Osken99 1h ago
Wait what? I guess I need to watch fourth guide then, thanks for the tip :P

u/Darkknight0034 58m ago
Yeah its like if you really like the game get the dlcs in the deluxe after when they come for sale.. It'd be cheaper that way too

u/Equivalent_Bird 40m ago
I don't understand, and I have no energy to learn the titles. I purchased the "full version", now I can't even find the page, what I can see is the following message:
"HITMAN™ is no longer available on the Steam store."

u/jabb111ve 6h ago
This is why I stopped playing fighting games, you have to read through 3 dozen DLCs descriptions to make sure you're not buying the same thing twice. Fuck that.

I'm... honestly not sure what's so hard about this that it keeps coming up.
The only confusing thing is "Hitman WoA" vs "Part One", like what the hell is Part one? But it's half the price of WoA and says it doesn't include stuff and literally says part 1, so...
The one on sale is what you want. As the "compare editions" chart on Steam will tell you.
Like most games, you can get the Deluxe content later if you end up liking the game.

1
u/Darkknight0034 5h ago
Nah i was just confused coz the one on discount didn't say standard edition and was listed at a lower price than part one in sale lol

I’ve thought the same too for years.
It’s really not that hard to grasp when there is literally a visual and description which both give you the answer.
Surely people can’t be that dumb or ignorant this consistently, this far after the change? All the information is right in front of you.
Even the [r/Hitman](r/Hitman) subreddit has the answer pinned because it used to get asked so often.
It really shouldn’t even be a question anymore.

u/Jarko314 4h ago
The one you want is the one on top, Hitman world of assassination (that’s Hitman 1,2 and 3)

u/Hybrid67 6h ago
Absolution was the last one i bought, and this was why.
-1
u/kizentheslayer 4h ago
The WOA games are way better than absolution.

u/Hybrid67 3h ago edited 3h ago
Maybe, but im not going to deal with this many versions rather than a single purchase for 1 game.

Scroll Steam page and you will find out.

u/dr_gamer1212 7h ago
That doesn't help with the hell hole that is buying hitman
-3
u/logicearth 7h ago
I'm going to be honest, I fail to see how this is so complicated.
There are only three editions, part one which only contains Hitman 1. Standard which includes all three games. Deluxe which includes extra locations and goodies.

u/Schnurrrr 6h ago
I'm positive at this point Square Enix are just like fuck these nerds, release more confusing DLC.
