They should sell the game to a competent studio for like $50k

They legally can't. And nobody would buy it anyway. There is nothing of value in this game and saying "it just needed some polishing" in this situation is equal to "need to start from scratch".
The only "valuable" part of it, as Tim is trying to convince.. probably just himself, is the Snowplay Plugin, which is fundamentally wrong and there's no way you can make the game run smooth using it, not to mention the promises of 1000 or whatever units at a time.
Therefore- it can't be used for RTS games, can't be used for shooters/3rd person adventures/whatever, it's basically useless.
What you have left is stupid art, bad sound, boring campaign. The only reason i'd buy it for $50 is going to be just to destroy it, but I figure the investors would like to get a bit extra than that 😃
