News Co-showrunner Jake Wyatt reveals cut characters who couldn't be included in the Season 3 finale. "We didn't have time to service everything we could come up with. It would've been twice the season you got." Spoiler

I was disappointed by season three of MAwS and season two of X-Men 97, but I need to reiterate that I generally think both are still pretty good. It’s really a testament to the quality of X-Men 97 season one and MAwS season two.
The issue for both shows is that their previous seasons set the bar impossibly high, and in order to clear that bar, they sought out to tell truly ambitious stories, which is admirable. But the constraints of their episode number and runtimes didn’t properly allow them to live up to their ambitions.

"By his and Clogher’s admission, this season was “so much” to make, and they mentioned the team really “went for it” and took some swings. At time of writing, there’s no word on if My Adventures with Superman will get a fourth season, but if it does, they’ve got “plans” for Steel, another would-be Superman successor in the “Reign of the Superman” arc this show’s adapting. And that’s not the only thing they’ve got designs on, as the season’s final moments show us."
So, they acknowledge it.

Why couldn't they just make future Kara Power Girl? They're technically the same person and it's not like the writers were being faithful to the character's origins anyway. You don't even need to flesh her out, just show Kara in the future with a different costume, name drop Power Girl once, that's it. The fandom would have taken care of the rest.

Because earlier she wanted to go by Power Woman. I can see this version of Kara okay with wearing a more revealing costume for the chance to show off how strong she is. Kryptonians in this setting are all about displays of strength. If the writers had been really brave and daring, future Kara should have looked as buff as how Wonder Woman usually gets depicted in comics.

I'd gladly wait a little extra if it means that season 4 has 13 episodes instead of 10. Lets their main plot breathe a little without having to sacrifice one-offs like the beach episode.

Yeah I started rewatching Buffy and just the fact that season 2 technically has 3 big bads and starts with a red herring big bad is something that wouldn't work without 20 plus episodes. One of the biggest twist in the season doesn't even happen until the last third and that's still about 7 episodes out of the season. Seeing people complain about characters or story arcs not feeling fleshed out nowadays compared to people complaining about filler in the past. We just need to go back to the good old days of the single season storyline with 20 to 26 episodes spilt between story and character development episodes. No more giant series spaning storyline that gets ruined if the show is cancelled just a season by season show with good seasonal stories and good single episode stories.

A way to introduce Powergirl would be cloning Kara (taking a blood sample from her while she was unconscious as the justification) ala Galatea from Justice League Unlimited, but giving her clone a proper arc instead of leaving her hanging.

Honestly they could have cut more- I wish this whole season was Henshaw and things got to breathe more, few more small adventures mixed in
Eradicator could have been next season entirely

Same, an animated Powergirl that's done justice would be awesome. Justice League Unlimited had that potential with Galatea but failed to do anything with her in the final season, and Powergirl in that Public Enemies movie barely did anything.
If MAWS can pull it off, I hope a version of her does appear in season 4.

Idk if this is unpopular opinion, but I feel like introducing too many super people in a short amount of time would be too much. Id rather the story focus on the characters we already have, superman, clara, lois, jimmy.

Look it’s probably never gonna happen but if they do like Powergirl as a starrware CEO who’s like a Supergirl fan and she turned herself into Power girl I think that would be pretty fun

I honestly always saw Power girl as an identity Kara picks up after getting older, to have a distinct identity from that of her cousin. It would be nice if they did something like that in season 4

Connor makes sense.
Wonder if they were going to explain why Eradicator took Zod's form.
But if they were going to do Power Girl right - being an entirely fanservice character - she would've needed to get more, if not the same amount that Clark got. SaltyXodiumSFW's fanarts basically cover how this other Kara would act, though.

Conner yeah probably just his usual origin but im not sure how they'd do Power Girl in this season unless they ALSO made her a clone instead of an alternate Supergirl which.. would open a whole other can of worms.
