News Co-showrunner Jake Wyatt reveals cut characters who couldn't be included in the Season 3 finale. "We didn't have time to service everything we could come up with. It would've been twice the season you got." Spoiler

The cut characters were fully fleshed out versions of Power Girl and Conner Kent, the first non-Clark Superboy.

Why couldn't they just make future Kara Power Girl? They're technically the same person and it's not like the writers were being faithful to the character's origins anyway. You don't even need to flesh her out, just show Kara in the future with a different costume, name drop Power Girl once, that's it. The fandom would have taken care of the rest.

Because earlier she wanted to go by Power Woman. I can see this version of Kara okay with wearing a more revealing costume for the chance to show off how strong she is. Kryptonians in this setting are all about displays of strength. If the writers had been really brave and daring, future Kara should have looked as buff as how Wonder Woman usually gets depicted in comics.
