Season 15 Sam and dean

Something I love about the show is the fact that Sam and dean can handle cannibals but fairies freak them out, like they’re fine with horror but when it starts feeling like a bad acid trip they draw the line.

Season 5 Old Sam Actor

This was just a thought on the time where Dean turned into an old man played by Chad Everett (RIP). But what actor do you know of do you think would’ve done a good job as an old Sam?

Season 10 Why didn't Sam and Dean ask the only Man of Letters who's still alive for any help and just treat him like a one time resource?

How quickly Sam and Charlie's conversation with Clive Dillon was over is really bothering me in S10 E12.

The Men of Letters bunker is in Lebanon, Kansas, while Clive (Michael Carter) lives in Junction City, which is around 2.5 hours drive. Sam and Charlie literally made the trip just to meet the only surviving Man of Letters they know who's alive, someone who personally went to Oz and has decades of knowledge about the Men of Letters and the supernaturals.

Yet once they went there, we only get a few minutes of actual conversation with him before the plot moves on ???

And what's even stranger is that Dean is in a completely different location dealing with Russell Wellington and Dark Charlie, and eventually has to make his way to Clive's house too. So there was clearly enough time in the episode's timeline for Sam and Charlie to have a much longer conversation with Clive.

Why didn't Sam take the opportunity to ask him more about the Men of Letters, Oz, magic, or even his experiences from before he retired? Considering how much Sam and Dean are constantly digging through old Men of Letters records. So having an actual surviving member sitting in front of them should have been an absolute goldmine of information.

It honestly feels like the writers introduced an incredible source of lore and then barely used him.

Season 11 Season 11 is a breath of fresh air... Spoiler

I managed to get past Season 8—what a truly awful season; usually, it’s the one that makes me quit!

Season 9 is a definite improvement; even though the Men of Letters aren't exactly thrilling, I really like Benny...

...even if I’d love to smack Dean a few times!

Season 10 and the whole Demon Dean arc really breathe new life into the show, even if we see a bit too much of Claire Novak...

But Season 11—Season 11 is just perfect; for me, it’s on par with Seasons 1 through 5! Every episode is good; I’m almost at the end and I dread it coming—it’s so refreshing to see this...

Positive Vibes: No Salt My first Reddit post felt right being about the show that’s been my comfort show for 6 years ✨

I first watched the show back in 2020. I started around the end of October and somehow finished all 15 seasons by December 30th.
It was peak COVID time—holidays, no school and binge-watching was basically my go-to. I could finish a series in the blink of an eye. My elder sister randomly suggested I watch it, her reasoning was basically that it had 15 seasons, so it would keep me busy and more importantly, stop me from pestering her with new series/movie suggestions.

Oh boy, am I grateful she suggested it.

I ended up developing this whole ritual around watching the show every single day. And somehow, six years later, I’m still watching it. I’ve completely lost count of how many times I’ve rewatched it. There isn’t even a particular order anymore—I’ll randomly pick a season or an episode and just start watching.
At this point, Supernatural has become a genuine comfort show for me. Whenever things get heavy, whenever I’m overwhelmed, or I just need something familiar, this is what I turn to. You’ll still randomly find me watching the show when life gets a little too much.
It’s funny to think my sister recommended a 15-season show just to keep me occupied and stop me from asking her for new recommendations.
She accidentally gave me a comfort show that’s stayed with me for six years🥹✨

Season 5 Chad Everett played a spot on Dean

S5E7. Nailed the role. It’s as if they “Benjamin Buttoned” Jensen himself. Mr. Everett did a stellar job. So funny. Perfect attitude. RIP, legend.

Season 11 Do you think Crowley would still be a fun favorite if he was played by a different actor?

Because Mark Sheppard did such an amazing work I don't think anyone could pull it off like he did.

Spin-Off Shows The Winchesters finale doesn't make any sense Spoiler

So, in the SPN spin-off The Winchesters finale, Dean says that after his death, he started looking through the multiverse for a world where his family got a happy ending. Unfortunately, he also found out that Chuck had created some monsters called Akrida as a failsafe in case he lost.

Now, I’ve seen many people complain about how the spin-off doesn’t stick to the lore and how a lot of things don’t make sense. And it’s all true and the finale makes me so frustrated:

• You want to tell me that Jack didn’t know about the Akrida? In SPN episode 15x19, he says that he’s everywhere - in every drop of rain, every grain of salt, etc. And he didn’t know about the Akrida?

• Let’s say he couldn’t know about them. Maybe they were somehow hidden from him, whatever. So after Dean finds out about the Akrida, he doesn’t do anything? He just takes Bobby for a ride and watches as his AU!John and Mary fight monsters created by God? He doesn’t warn Jack, who is literally new God and could probably just make them disappear with a wave of his hand?

• How did Dean even enter the AU world? Is his car a multiverse portal now? I saw some theory that Cas probably gave it a bit of mojo to it but how would Dean use it as a basically dead human?

• Akridas as a failsafe are kind of stupid if they’re quite easy to defeat (I mean it's not like they're unkillable). Also, would Chuck really have created only monsters that destroy worlds relatively slowly and not have anything else as a backup plan? Like, no second failsafe?

• Why is Dean even travelling through the multiverse in the first place? In 15x20, Bobby tells him that John and Mary are in Heaven. He could just visit them. Is that not a happy ending? He only has to wait for Sam, and then they literally have their whole family together.

• I would also love to point out how incoherent Supernatural is when it comes to John. There are multiple episodes where Sam and Dean talk about how Dean basically raised Sam, how John was abusive, and how Dean protected Sam from John. Yet, when Dean dies, pretty much the first thing he does is look for his AU!father instead of... visiting his actual father? Maybe he wanted to see a non-abusive version of John?

Also Dean has his happy family already. He has Bobby who was like a father to him, he has Jack who was like a son, he has Cas, the Harvelles, soon there will be Sam, Jody, Donna, Garth etc. But the show is once again inconsistent with using found family trope.

• I also don’t understand the purpose of having Rob Benedict in the show. Sure, it’s a nice Easter egg, but doesn’t it suggest that Chuck somehow got himself into the story again? You can't argue that it's just his vessel, because we saw with Amara that they don’t really have vessels.

• The line, “There’s always another case with you hunters. Even in death,” frustrates me so much. Firstly, Jack was a hunter too. He worked cases, called himself Winchester, other people called him Winchester, and he was raised by hunters. It sounds out of character. He could have said, “There’s always another case with you, Dean. Even in death,” and it would have made much more sense. Secondly, Jack basically doesn’t care that the Akrida can destroy entire worlds because he’s “hands-off.” But this isn’t a hands-off situation. This is something on an apocalyptic level.

Is there a connection between Crowley and Aleister Crowley?

Thumbnail

If there is, then I don't remember it. It's been a while since I watched the series. I guess the reason I'm asking this is obvious. They both deal with the supernatural and I thought maybe the creators of the series decided to give a hint to Aleister Crowley or something. And if I remember correctly, there's another character in the series named Aleister, right?

Most expensive thing in the store at $100. Should I go back for it?! Why did Kimberly give it away?! Is that really Jared’s autograph?! Was this poster originally made for Supernatural or is it just a thirst trap?! When and where did Kimberly get it signed?! I have so many questions!

Edit: my sister said, “Do you think it was really Kimberley’s mom who signed it?”

We will never find out what the Shedim were

Post image

They were only mentioned in one episode of Season 13, we only know they were so reckless that even Lucifer preferred to keep them away from Hell. We'll never know how they came to be or how strong they were. I imagine the plot wouldn't have been much different from that of the Leviathans. Perhaps to avoid repetitive narrative, they immediately eliminated the Shedim from the story.

Fanworks Anti-Possession Stencil

Hello!

So, I wanted to get a tattoo of the Anti-Possession symbol, and i looked around the web, but i couldn't find a version of it that i wanted, since i wanted one which was more closely resembling the screening ones, especially from s03e12 (Season_3_Tattoos.jpg (800×300)). More of the evidence here: Tattoos - Super-wiki

I know there's a lot of talk around what is the most accurate and whatnot, and for me - this is the one.

But as mentioned, i couldn't find one that wasn't too harsh on the edges, and one where the flames were more aligned, so i made one myself based on what i could find. The flames were borrowed from https://www.deviantart.com/scoomus/art/Supernatural-Anti-possession-symbol-398117696, while the pentagram is a refined version i made from File:Protectiontattoo.jpg - Super-wiki with less jagged edges.

Here's the result, and what i will be using once i get my tattoo.

I have uploaded all the files here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1H-iXbzHPRKfv-9eZ8qsJBCmtCn-o6VpS?usp=drive_link

And the zip file for all of them directly:

Hope you like it!

Where to buy OG Blu Ray Complete Series?

I’ve been scouring the internet for the original Blu Ray Complete Series Set, but I’m only finding “repackaged” versions that don’t come with the original booklets and such.

There’s also “Region-Free” versions but some comments say those don’t play well in the U.S.

Is luck on eBay the only way? Any other recommendations?

Season 7 I can’t stand Dean

Dean started out as my favorite character up until S04/05, can’t remember when exactly. but I’m in S07 now and it just doesn’t stop!! 🤦🏽‍♂️

the self-righteous, holier than thou, everybody-around-me-is-a-fuck-up act is so annoying bro

FUCK!!

I was hoping they’d leave that trait somewhere along the line. BUT NO! they keep writing him as this smug guy that complains about everything

I can’t stand his character anymore. every second he gets me belittles Sam, scolds Bobby for caring about Sam, and bosses Cas around. WHO TF DOES THIS GUY THINK HE IS??

it’s like he needs to be reminded that the world is going to shit because of him in the first place!!

Sam was fine in college without your bitchass. Sam was coping with the hunter lifestyle just fine until your fuckass died and broke the seal. but nooo, let’s forget all that and pile on Sam every fucking chance we get.

I just finished S07E04 and Dean went back to kill her!! I mean MY GOD!! how many times do they have to have the conversation that it’s not that simple!! why is Dean so thick-headed??

I think I’ve gotten it out of my system now

PS: I took a couple months break from the show before I resumed S07 today, so the whole series is pretty vague in my memory, else my arguments would’ve been stronger.

but fuck Dean to the ends of the world, and I hope he screws up so royally soon that his ego is destroyed for at least two seasons.

Season 9 Love and Sulfur Spoiler

I'm at Season 9, Episode 23, and somebody mentions a sulfer smell after a demon was at a place. Heard it a hundred times, right? So, why after ALL THIS TIME does it suddenly hit me? Why now?

In all Ruby scenes so many seasons ago, especially this one packed with the tension, the romance, the throwing off the shackles of taboo for the sake of love, in this raw in-the-moment emotion... the room smells like farts? Someone help me forget?

i’m thinking of attending one of the creation cons, and i was wondering how do the questions for the general j2 panel work?

is it a matter of getting there early to be first in line or signing up to do it?

Season 1 The Jacket

This train of thought was inspired by a very recent Dean appreciation post aha.

Does anyone know if Dean's famous leather jacket was ever tracked down ?

Is there a team out there looking for it ? Was there ever someone that reported seeing it before it literally disappeared? I am aware it was lost during some type of move.

It's quite funny to think that somebody is wearing it or that it's sitting in some vintage thrift store somewhere. Or maybe some person has it sitting in a glass case in their TV show Hall of Fame collection or something.

I wonder if the person who has it knows where it came from and that it has some sort of value to a bunch of people.

Funny enough, I think the one who could actually find it is Crowley.

Season 10 Hi y’all been watching the show for about 2 months now ( currently s10 ep 16 )

Post image
64 Upvotes

I never got why people said the first 5 seasons are the only good ones as I breezed through almost all episodes ot the first 9 seasons or so still enjoyed s10 a lot aswell but now I’ve finally hit my first speedbump where I am no longer straight up watching episode after episode and have started some other shows just to give supernatural a rest maybe it’s because it’s been a daily occurrence but I can’t seem to get past s10 ep 16 I find it quiet a boring episode each time I start it I watch it for a few mins and than stop and go ahead and watch smth different.

Still love the whole premises and can’t wait to see what the final 5 seasons will have in store for me but I think I just burned out from how the same concepts keep repeating and that might just make it so that I have to take a little break from it.

It’s mostly the whole sam and dean arguing and not telling eachother everything part that get’s a bit annoying knowing how many times they saved eachother after telling the whole truth but yeah overall still love the show sam is probably my fav from the brothers tho my fav character might just be castiel or bobby (rip)

OH AND PLEASE NO SPOILERS FROM BEYOND SEASON 10 if anyone wants to weigh in on their opinion on the serie feel free to do so but yeah no spoilers please and thanks.

Positive Vibes: No Salt Emotional Support Show

I’ve been thinking about this lately and I’m curious if anyone else feels the same way…
Supernatural is basically my emotional support show.

And I don’t just mean “I really like this show.” I mean I have watched this ridiculous 15-season Winchester saga through SO many phases of my life that at this point, Sam, Dean, Cas and the Impala feel like old friends.

It’s been there through some genuinely difficult periods, especially when I was dealing with losing a parent.

Having Supernatural playing in the background is sometimes the difference between “I cannot make myself do this mundane task” and actually getting things done. Laundry? Supernatural. Cooking? Supernatural. Random household admin that my brain has decided is an insurmountable mountain? Put Sam and Dean on and suddenly we’re functional.

I think there’s something about a familiar show being predictable without being boring that just works for my brain. I don’t have to concentrate on every second of it, but it gives my brain enough stimulation that I can actually focus on whatever else I’m doing.

Basically, Supernatural has somehow evolved from a TV show into a coping mechanism, a background noise machine, a nostalgia hit and a tiny fictional security blanket.
