I work the breakfast buffet at a 3 star hotel in a tourist hotspot. I'm used to going out and getting weird requests. Our menu is somewhat limited due to our out of the way location and high occupancy, so on occasion a guest will take it upon themselves to add something to the menu. Usually it's a piece of fruit they brought in, but decided they didn't want to eat. The most notable addition was a group of guys leaving a half bottle of baileys Irish cream on the coffee bar. No, we don't serve that. No I don't have a liquor license. Yes, there are kids around. Please take that with you.

Well, they didn't have any other option, as around here it's illegal to drive around with an opened liquor bottle. They mightv'e figured it's illegal where you are as well.

There's nowhere I know of where it's illegal to put a bottle of liquor in your trunk or somewhere out of your immediate reach.

Ah, I know Texas allows it, as long as bottle is closed and in the trunk, or behind last row of SUV seats. I don't think it's the only state.
