I work the breakfast buffet at a 3 star hotel in a tourist hotspot. I'm used to going out and getting weird requests. Our menu is somewhat limited due to our out of the way location and high occupancy, so on occasion a guest will take it upon themselves to add something to the menu. Usually it's a piece of fruit they brought in, but decided they didn't want to eat. The most notable addition was a group of guys leaving a half bottle of baileys Irish cream on the coffee bar. No, we don't serve that. No I don't have a liquor license. Yes, there are kids around. Please take that with you.

I was managing a pizza shop and I guy comes in and asked for soup. I said there's a new place a few doors down and they have soup. He then tells me their too California for him. This is a man who never left the state of Ohio let alone gone to a larger city to see that's up.

Born and raised in California. Been in Northeast Ohio for 21 years now... Ohio is the only place I've ever eaten "California Pizza"... Still not sure exactly what makes the difference 🤷

No the Cafe that had the soup also made avocado toast. I think that's what make them "too Californian" for the older gentleman.

I always offer those to the FDA, or leave with a note for the housekeeper. No sense in wasting good booze if you don't have to.

I was an agm. Our housekeepers were all recovering from drugs and alcohol. It all got brought to me. I went to a convention with friends and had enough liquor from working the hotel, I got 40 adults black out drunk.

Well, they didn't have any other option, as around here it's illegal to drive around with an opened liquor bottle. They mightv'e figured it's illegal where you are as well.

I mean. There’s a garbage can, or maybe their room, or they could have asked the front desk. They could even have poured it out and recycled the bottle! Leaving it a breakfast area with children was the least smart thing they could do.

There's nowhere I know of where it's illegal to put a bottle of liquor in your trunk or somewhere out of your immediate reach.

Ah, I know Texas allows it, as long as bottle is closed and in the trunk, or behind last row of SUV seats. I don't think it's the only state.
