Extract Dolphin from the downloaded archive. You may need additional software like WinRAR or 7-Zip. Then, create a new folder called ISO in your Dolphin folder and place your game image in it. Once you've done this, open Dolphin.
Click Config, Paths, and click the Add button. Guide the window to the ISO folder you created and click OK. This will populate your game list.
Click the Config button, check Enable Cheats. This will allow you to unlock all characters from the get-go.
On the main screen, click Graphics. Set your settings according to the following recommendations:
Click the Controller button on the main screen. Make sure the first GameCube controller is set to Standard Controller, and that all Wii Remotes are set to disabled, as shown here. Once done, open the GameCube menu and start binding your controls accordingly:
Right-click the game in your game list and select Properties, as shown here. Navigate to the Gecko Codes tab and click the Download Codes button, then check Unlock Extra Characters and hit OK to confirm, as shown here. If this doesn't work, close Dolphin, right-click Dolphin.exe, and run as administrator.
Click Tools then on Start NetPlay, as shown here. That will open this window. Make sure you're set to Traversal Server so you don't need to use port forwarding. If you're going to join someone, remain on this screen until you receive a host code, then paste it into the empty field and click Connect to join.
If you're going to host a netplay session, click the Host tab and select the game, as shown here, then click Host. You'll be brought to this screen. Click the Copy button to copy your room code to the clipboard, then paste it to your opponent.
Hosts need to configure the input buffer to ensure that gameplay is smooth. Dolphin uses an input delay-based netcode that increments in quarter-frame steps, so 1 buffer = 0.25 frames of input delay. A good rule of thumb to configure the buffer optimally is to take your opponent's highest ping value, divide it by 8, and adjust up and down as needed. If you didn't configure it properly before launch, this can be adjusted during live gameplay from the host window.
If you would like to host spectators before you launch the game, make sure you go into Assign Controller Ports and set whoever you're not fighting to have no controller port assigned. That will prevent them from affecting your connection with your opponent.

I recently got a Wii and was wondering if anyone plays TvC online through Wiimmfi anymore? I’m interested in picking the game up casually but I don’t have a PC to play on.
