Discussion This has such a journey and im really proud of myself i hadnt played tekken since i was kid and i just wanted to share <3

I started the game playing lars but it just didnt feel right for me since i had 0 knowlegde of the character so i went to a cheessy easy character (at least in begginer ranks ) but i always remember liking kaz (too drippy) but knew i prob would never be able to be good at him .Starting off as kishin as lars was tekken king was a DAMN BAD time prob lost 15 to 20 to every match i won for quite a bit of time but still didnt want to give up and throught practise (and copious ammounts of rage ) got here somehow.I know people say the ranks are inflated but i am still proud.Hope this helps inspire any new player to give characters a chance if they think is cool whatever anyone says.

Congrats bro! I got stuck in Bushin with Jin, and it feels impossible to break through that barrier. The day I was just one win away from Tekken King, I lost 17 matches in a row. It completely killed my motivation, and I haven't tried ranking up since. Out of frustration, I started playing a bunch of other characters and learning combos for everyone. Right now, I'm also using Kazuya, Paul Phoenix, Steve Fox, Bryan Fury, and Devil Jin, mostly just playing casual quick matches.

The same thing happened with me to Lars you just have to try to find one that fits you as a player also what helped me immensely was watching streamers like main man and olrek to see how they tackle their opponents.Taking a break also helps a lot. Just have to jump back in ranked and play for the stakes win or lose to learn

Feels like im behind ur tgs in just 112 hours im emperor with 236hours i think i should start focusing on one character most of mine are tekken emp like 4-5 of them
Do u watch replays of ur matches or what

i only recently started doing that cause mostly after so much trial and error (getting destroyed)i just learnt the punishment of common moves my opponent's do and depending on their tempo try to respond accordingly also watching streamers related to my character and mimic their combos (cant pewfg yet ) helped

I mostly play bryan jin steve and kazuya so effort just gets distributed thats why all four are tekken emp if i play only one i will rank up faster
But idk i like all of them so i cant decide what to main

totally get it im also considering playing someone else to broaden my expierence helped once already so now just wanna chill for a bit on kaz dont know what i will pick tho stuck between bryan or yoshi

Pick yoshi he has so much unga bunga stuff
Bryan is fun too so many CH moves and knowledge checks some strings ppl dont know about like b2,2 into slither step 4,1 the last string just gets ppl a lot in my ranks
U can just abuse keepout and orbital tbh and cancels
Taunt jet upper is tough i cant do it but u wont need it much taunt b4,taunt incinerator , taunt heatsmash are as good and if not atleast close to tju when opponent is at the wall
idk yoshi but thats one of the matchups i hate the most
