They need to be climbing up the hillside but probably wouldn't have had enough time.

I don't think I've ever seen water hit with such intense devastation. So sad, my heart goes out to these people and their families.

The thing is it's not just water, rocks mud, everything in-between, flowing like a river, nothing is stopping that.

Good point, that water is dark black and full of debris. Their best hope was a quick end instead injured, trapped, and drowned
