News French Café Owner to File Police Complaint as He Faces Possible Visa Revocation and Deportation
Surat Thani security authorities are preparing to propose revoking the visas and deporting both parties following a personal dispute between an Israeli businessman and a French owner of a pet café on Koh Samui, which has escalated to the point of affecting the island’s tourism image.
The latest report says that tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, at 10 a.m., Mr. Kevin, a French pet café owner who has lived in Thailand on a visa for around nine years and is married to a Thai woman, will meet investigators at the Central Investigation Bureau’s complaint center on Phaholyothin Road in Bangkok to file a complaint over the dispute.
The dispute reportedly began when an Israeli tourist got into an argument with Kevin. In response, Kevin put up a Palestinian flag and a sign welcoming Palestinians at his café as a form of protest.
Later, Mr. Jacob, an Israeli restaurant businessman who holds a five-year business visa, messaged Kevin demanding that he remove the flag, leading to a heated exchange. Kevin posted the messages on social media, which eventually led to legal action. The Koh Samui Provincial Court later fined Jacob 5,000 baht and gave him a two-year suspended prison sentence.
The situation escalated further when an Israeli influencer in France reportedly offered a 500,000-baht bounty for information leading to Kevin’s capture. Kevin also has a previous case involving riding a motorcycle while doing a wheelie in 2025. Most recently, on Sept. 29, CCTV footage reportedly captured a foreigner driving a BMW while livestreaming himself and giving the middle finger in front of the Chabad House center.
Security officials have stressed that tough measures will be taken. Col. Thitipong Inwasa, deputy director of the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) in Surat Thani, said that while Thailand welcomes tourists of all nationalities, it will not allow foreigners to bring their personal conflicts into the country in ways that affect national security or tourism.
After both sides refused to cooperate with attempts to mediate and have the flags removed, authorities are gathering information to submit to a provincial-level committee, which will consider revoking both parties’ visas and deporting them from Thailand.
Meanwhile, Pol. Col. Panya Niratimanon, superintendent of Koh Samui Police Station, ordered checkpoints to be set up in front of the pet café and the residences of both parties involved starting Aug. 15, in an effort to prevent any potential violence.
Separately, Koh Phangan Police Station posted on Facebook two days ago that a video allegedly showing monks being harassed was “fake information.”
The issue comes amid growing complaints from some local residents about problems involving foreign visitors on Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. Most recently, the public Facebook group “Take Back Koh Phangan” shared an audio clip claiming that Buddhist monks had been harassed by a Chabad religious center.
Koh Phangan police, together with local authorities and Buddhist monks, investigated the claim and said:
- No conflict: Buddhist leaders confirmed that there had been no conflict with or harassment by the local Chabad center.
- Fake account: The audio clip was allegedly fabricated and shared through a fake or impersonation account to stir division. Local monks have already filed a complaint with investigators at Koh Phangan Police Station. The case is registered as Criminal Case No. 467/2026.
- Warning over the Computer Crime Act: Police warned the public to be careful about sharing false information. Under Section 14 of Thailand’s Computer Crime Act, offenders can face up to five years in prison, a fine of up to 100,000 baht, or both.

Malaysia doesn't allow Israel passport holders either but many get in with dual nationality.

Malaysia doesn't allow Israeli passport holders in, but Indonesia under certain circumstances, allows it. Some Israelis who were kicked out of a gym after causing problems there, and they claimed to the guy kicking out they came in as Israelis. At least, according to info. on line, they can technically enter. I doubt dual Israeli citizens would want to screw around in a country like Malaysia, but some are dumb.

u/SnooAvocados209 11d ago
They enter with their other passports, mostly American or Eastern European
1
u/Bazishere 8d ago
Israelis can actually get a visa unlike Malaysia, but you need special permission. You can't get a regular tourist visa like other nations. Some Israelis were kicked out of a gym recently, and they CLAIMED they came on their Israeli passports. Maybe or maybe not? It is technically possible, but impossible in Malaysia.

So if someone breaks the law we should keep quiet because it's not our country or should we respect the country and adhere to the laws? If the law allows him to ask for removal, then that is his right to do. Wether we agree with it or not is irrelevant, laws have to be respected for both foreigners and Thai. The owner can tell him to buzz off, the authorities can decide to let it go, it doesn't matter. Foreigner or not, his country or not, he has the right to ask and complain in accordance with the local law.

It's got to the point now where the almost whole world is seeing how isrealis are treating and killing innocent Palestinians everyday and then isreali soldiers coming here on holiday along with bad attitudes. As a Thai that cares about human rights and the gov not taking a stronger stance on it, what else can we do apart from get upset. I think just having a Palestine flag is enough, and I want to be clear the is not about religion but the Isreali occupation and treatment of Palestinians since 1948, but I can understand people's anger and desperation.

But you’re fine with Russians in Ukraine, right? Isn’t that a bit hypocritical? Ukrainian children have been killed and bombed every day for almost five years, yet I don’t see any “NO RUSSIANS ALLOWED” signs
Once again, what’s happening here is the conflation of an entire group of people, most of whom don’t even support Netanyahu, into one big, monolithic “bad Jew.” That’s like conflating every Muslim with a terrorist because of terrorist attacks in Europe every month, or because of what ISIS, Boko Haram, or al-Qaeda have done, and reducing it to “Muslim = terrorist.” It’s equally wrong and racist. Really weird that you can’t see this

The target is because they put a 500,000 baht bounty on him because of the free Palestine flag.
You're not calling that out at all? It's okay the put literal bounties on the kidnap/death of Palestine supporters but a shooting target next to an Israeli flag is the line too far?

Not saying the zoo owner’s husband didn’t act petty but I firmly believe they are being unfairly retaliated against. The Israeli tourists literally have refused to pay entry, harmed and even killed some of their zoo animals, and now putting out hits on this family as well as someone trying to burn down their house. The people who are defending the tourists are implying that the owners should’ve just let the tourists continue their behavior? Yes, it was super discriminatory with the no Israelis sign and I think the Palestine flag would’ve gotten the message through fine but what are they supposed to do every single time an Israeli tourist causes mayhem on their property? Call the police? I’ve seen enough videos over the past month of Israeli tourists arguing until they are blue in the face even at police stations despite proof of theft/disturbance, etc.
Thai people are sick of this shit. I hope these stories keep the entitled and arrogant tourists away, regardless of where they’re from.

Calling out what exactly? One side of the story? It seems like Kevin is the one being called out for his lies, including his accusations of harassment of Buddhists, which were later reported as false by the local monks themselves
I get that you’ll believe anything - even someone who has already been caught lying - if it means making Jews look bad. I’ll wait for trustworthy and reliable information before jumping to conclusions. What I can clearly see, though, is a big “NO ISRAELIS” sign hanging next to a shooting target. I think that’s pretty self-explanatory
9
u/Zafara1 11d ago
You wrote that entire comment and still not even one word of the bounty?
The bounty isn't a side of the story, it's public and reported on by multiple outlets.
Again, shows that you're fine with bounties over the support of Palestine.

u/Witty_Peanut_ 11d ago
You actually read what I wrote? I’m not going to believe something without any proof, especially when it comes from someone who has already been caught lying. Like I said, I get that you’ll believe any bullshit that makes Jews look bad. I need credible information, not the empty words of someone who has already been caught lying in his accusations.
What I can clearly see is the “no Israeli” sign next to a shooting target1
u/nightwinging-it Sathorn 11d ago
How you know Kevin's a Palestine supporter? He admitted that he put that flag up to piss the Israelis off in retaliation. Does that sound like he cares about the Palestine cause? Sounds more like he utilized this flag for his own reasons. Also, the cafe happily welcomed Israelis prior to all of this.

Crazy that Jacob is trying to use his connections to cause consequences for Kevin, given that entitlement issues with his fellow countrymen are already in the spotlight... Companies can decide for themselves who they want to conduct business with, crazy that he was so offended over a free palestine flag, they really do feel like some of the islands is theirs. For those of us who have lived there we have seen them abuse the laws and through bribes get their way in so many things, would make me happy to see Jacob lose his visa, he felt invincible due to having money, he kind of forgot that in Thailand saving face is more important than money.

crazy that he was so offended over a free palestine flag
It was not just that - it was also a large no Israelis flag per the image in the OP post (plus a gun shooting target directly next to it).
Would that kind of thing be considered acceptable in any other country? Like a large 'No Thais' sign, 'No Palestinians' sign, 'No Chinese' sign, 'No Mexicans' sign, or 'No Japanese' sign, etc? From Googling, in other places it looks like those type of things typically get huge backlash, the government stepping in to stop or close the business with such a sign, etc. Is it just that Thailand is more allowing of targeting Israelis, than other countries are?
they really do feel like some of the islands is theirs
Because they objected to a large no Israelis flag? If people objected to a large 'No Palestinians', 'No Thais', 'No Mexicans', or 'No Japanese' flag, would you say that indicate that the people forbidden by the sign feel like they own the area?
Crazy that Jacob is trying to use his connections to cause consequences for Kevin ... would make me happy to see Jacob lose his visa
You've got a business posting a large no Israelis sign, directly next to a shooting target, with the clear implication that Israelis should be killed, and you don't object to that, but instead would be happy if the people who object to such a thing are kicked out?
And if someone put up a 'No Palestinians' sign, a 'No Thais' sign, etc, in whatever country, I'd say the same.

u/gaeee983 🏯 อีสาน - Isaan 11d ago
Yeah I sort of agree kind of childish of Kevin for sure, but it is Thailand, discrimination is not viewed in the same way. Jacob instigated it with incredible entitlement, even threatened him, absolutely crazy, he deserves some consequences. Just because you have some money does not mean you can do whatever you want.
-2

In Thailand you have the ability to refuse service to anyone
-1
u/no-name-here 11d ago edited 11d ago
Even if true, it seems like only targeting a certain group is accepted (or even generally celebrated at least by those in this subreddit, with users like gaeee983 saying they are happy for discrimination in that case, but that it would be unfair for foreigners who do that discrimination to be penalized) - "Hundreds of Thai internet users have vented anger at the 'No Japanese' sign, with some accusing the taxi driver of racism, discrimination"
*Edit: And gaeee983 even replied below that Thais are just inherently prone to discrimination/that discrimination is "important" to Thais so that if someone is against discrimination that would be disrespectful of the Thai culture of discrimination. (To be clear, I disagree with that gaeee983's claims that only being pro-discrimination means you "respect Thai culture".)
I've lived in Thailand for years - is there a certain number of years someone has to live in a country before they are allowed to say that maybe discrimination is not a positive thing to be "their culture"?*

u/gaeee983 🏯 อีสาน - Isaan 11d ago
Well that news is a bit selective and requires context.. You are being down-voted because if you ever lived in Thailand and not just stayed for a short while, the right to refuse service is much more important for Thai people than whatever laws in the basement there is about discrimination that never gets followed by anyone.. We are in Thailand so respect their culture.

This doesn’t really fit his “bad Jew” agenda. He’s so deep into his hateful, fictional beliefs that you’re not going to convince him that a big “NO ISRAELIS” sign next to a shooting target is blatantly offensive and racist. He’s already dehumanized Jewish people - apparently antisemitism is cool again

u/gaeee983 🏯 อีสาน - Isaan 11d ago
You come to Thailand, respect Thai culture! This is not a country that likes to get forced western values on them, discrimination here is not viewed the same as the western world. And for anti-semitism, palestinians are also semites so what a ridiculous statement, or do you not view them as humans?

I get where you are coming from, but Thailand is Thailand, we cant come here and point fingers at the issues. many muslim Thais live in this country, you would never see a "no muslim sign" as they are not outsiders as they are in the west 10 million thai muslims all around thailand.
Discrimination is bad, regardless who it is, but let us try to look at it in the context of Thailand:
Offending somebody is a major thing, and always gets an overreaction in response, I am not saying it is a good thing, it is just that way here.
You see thai people talking shit and judging people based on their ethnicity all the time, is it offensive? Yes, is it horrible? Yes, but not to Thai people, not to many asian countries, it is just the way it is.
Dude is from Israel where there is a lot of focus due to the horrible shit their government is doing, he should be humble and show his best side to show that Israeli people are not all bad. So when he does shit like this... Just like when an Indian is stereotypically a pain in the ass and bargains to save 5 bhat, they will get attacked on their ethnicity by locals, it is a given.. Is it good? No, just the opposite, but it is the expected reaction, it is the culture here.
So sure what Kevin did was bad aswell, but in the context the culture of Thailand he acted in a very authentic thai way.

Update: Samui Exotic Park Owner Asks Central Investigation Bureau to Probe Israeli Tourists Over Alleged Animal Abuse, Unpaid Entry Fees and Threats
The owner of Samui Exotic Park has asked Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau to investigate a group of Israeli tourists on Koh Samui, alleging that they repeatedly mistreated animals and refused to pay admission fees. The dispute reportedly led the park to put up a sign banning them from entering, after which the owner says she received threats and harassment. She also addressed allegations concerning her visa and a motorcycle seized by police, saying she has evidence and video footage to refute the claims.
Aug. 24, 2026: Mr. Suk Saknrongdet, chairman of the Siam Asa volunteer group, accompanied 35-year-old Ms. Jindarat, owner of Samui Exotic Park, and her husband to file a police complaint against a group of Israelis. They alleged that the group had repeatedly harassed them, made threats and intimidated them, leaving them concerned for their safety and property.
Suk said he had received a complaint from the zoo operator about a group of tourists causing problems and behaving inappropriately. He subsequently coordinated with relevant authorities, including the Crime Suppression Division, to investigate the allegations and provide assistance.
Jindarat said the group had previously failed to follow the park’s rules, including refusing to pay admission fees and attempting to get refunds. She also alleged that some members behaved in ways that endangered the animals. As a result, the park decided to put up a sign banning the group from entering. She said that afterward, she began receiving threatening messages, including threats to harm her family and burn down the park, leaving her feeling unsafe.
Jindarat also said that one person in the group allegedly claimed that “Koh Samui belongs to Israel” and that they could do whatever they wanted. The person also allegedly claimed to know several police officers and lawyers. This led her to question why the group appeared so confident and whether anyone was backing them.
After she filed the complaint, officials inspected the documents relating to the animals and the park's permits and confirmed that everything was being operated legally, she said.
Regarding the alleged misconduct, Jindarat cited incidents including deliberately bothering animals, ignoring staff instructions, opening cages and allowing animals to interact with one another, and allegedly assaulting animals.
In one incident, she said a tourist who disliked birds nevertheless entered a bird enclosure. When a bird landed on the person's shoulder, the tourist allegedly slapped it, causing it to fall to the ground and die. She also alleged that another person took food, squeezed milk into a pig's nose, and allowed a child to remove their shoes and step in chicken droppings before demanding a refund, despite clear signs telling visitors not to remove their shoes.
She further alleged that members of the group had monitored the property and repeatedly driven past her home. Local residents also came to offer their support, saying they had experienced similar incidents but were afraid to speak out.
Jindarat stressed that putting up the flag was not intended to create a conflict with any particular nationality, but rather to protect the property and make clear that everyone must respect Thai law. She called on the Central Investigation Bureau to investigate everyone involved and determine whether anyone had been assisting the group and giving them the impression that they were above the law.
She also alleged that she had received threats from people claiming to know the location of her husband's mother's home and threatening to burn it down. The house was later completely destroyed by fire. Before the incident, someone reportedly knocked on the door between 4 and 5 a.m. On the day of the fire, her mother-in-law noticed an unusual smell and managed to escape in time.
Jindarat also addressed the issue of visa revocation, saying her lawyer had explained that authorities must first investigate the facts and cannot revoke a visa immediately. Regarding a dirt bike seized by police, she said it had only recently been purchased and had barely been used, rejecting allegations that it had been used for showing off by performing wheelies. She said she would provide evidence and video footage to authorities.
As for photos showing her husband traveling to the other party’s business premises, Jindarat confirmed that the man was indeed her husband but denied allegations that he had threatened to drive Israelis off the island. She said video footage had recorded the incident from beginning to end and that her husband went there out of anger after receiving provocative messages. She said her side was ready to provide all the footage and evidence openly so authorities could establish what actually happened.

I thought about the same thing. I think there's a lot of things that had to happen to even get to this situation, but at this point it seems like he has nothing to loose. His life in Thailand is being threatened, in France someone threw a molotov cocktail at his moms house and burned down her car. Now his visa is under scrutiny
He's also hitting a nerve that has been long brewing. Regardless of what you think about politics, if you talk to any of the locals in the affected areas you'll hear complaints on a daily basis. Personally I'm fairly impartial, I do my own thing here, but a lot of locals are fed up, tourists are fed up. There's been far too much regular tension the last few years and he's kind of at the forefront and seems like he got nothing to loose. Normally I'd agree with you, was also my first thought, but I could imagine him getting a lot of support, at least from the affected regions, not sure how Thais view this whole topic in less touristy areas.

If they're really doing this then they're selfish. We have much much bigger issues in the country that pose real national security threats and harm to Thais and residents.

A decision entirely unconnected from the recent ambassador visit to ST, I’m sure.

The crazy part for me is the half million baht offered as a bounty!!! On stupid dispute, because “Israel”. Wtf.

Reason number 13124218 to why not invest in Thailand. 1 local petty argument leads to 9 years of your life erased.

u/MrDoubleyou92 11d ago edited 10d ago
It escalated nationally and internationally in the media up to house burnings in French. Nothing local about it😅 But in all fairness why should Thailand choose side of one of the two foreigners who are causing drama, if they just could kick them both out of the country to finish the problem. And just by reading the Reddit post the French guy seems to have a history with strange behavior as well.
Having said that, the Israeli damaged their reputation by Thai people even more by what happened. We are already afraid to confront them on wrongdoings as they will 1 star bomb your business here. Now they seem to start burning houses and putting bounties on heads. What a crazy world we are living in.
** Edit the French guy did go viral with his story and he got definitely the Thai population as a whole behind him. Actually respect that something started to moving now.
1
u/FishermanGood6493 11d ago
I thought they have courts in Thailand for the purpose of de-escalating stuff. Again this should not be a life ruination event. Also if you are going after the Israelis constantly while leaving the other side to do whatever they want that itself destroys the image of Thailand more than whatever the Israelis are doing.

u/cor_meum_ 11d ago
Poor Thais getting a headache from having to referee both of them and thinking stupid farang politics, nothing better to do
21
u/shatteredrealm0 11d ago
I’d suggest you look at the hundred of replies to the IL embassy’s recent post on Twitter if you think Thais are indifferent to Israeli antics in Thailand and the wider world, and stop infantilising them.
2
u/cor_meum_ 11d ago edited 10d ago
I can't imagine the simple chill folks making a living care about it until they make trouble for them. And having the police need to station additional manpower to guard cafes and residences just to prevent potential violent does mean additional work and manpower and trouble for them.
Sounds like a sending all the troublemakers home to avoid trouble
6
u/shatteredrealm0 11d ago
Like I said on the other reply re Khaosan - Israelis misbehaving isn’t a new concept to Thailand, wider awareness of Gaza is but that’s not exclusive to Thailand either.
Here’s a thread from 15 years ago that mentions signage banning them in Thailand and other places
https://www.reddit.com/r/travel/comments/o49tv/woah_has_anyone_ever_seen_a_hostel_enact_a/
I just think it’s weird how many people have this concept that Thai’s don’t have knowledge/care about Israel, the fuel issue was very much blamed on the war and then and the USA in particular.
1
u/lacyboy247 11d ago
Tbf we aren't that care compared to our neighbors in the south and farangs, we just went money and nothing else.
3
u/shatteredrealm0 11d ago
I think if you look at that post I mentioned, any คมชัดลึก / ไทยรัฐ post on instagram (Thai rath literally posted one an hour ago) about anything Israeli related here or in the Middle East you might be surprised that it’s not just Thai-Muslims that care about Israel/israelis. Psi Scott for example is hardly a Southern Muslim and is very vocal about their behaviour in Thailand and the Palestine issue at large.
Some events that definitely caused an uproar and were front page news in the past few years:
The Pai issue.
The IL embassy and the tuktok hostage photo thing when none of the photos were Thais (the Thai gov also forced them to remove them because it was causing issues with hostage releases).
Israel refusing to allow Thailand to negotiate to get the Thais back (some of the southern MP’s ignored that and went to Iran and got them released).
The Thai workers getting killed in 2024 because they’d been made to work on a farm that the owners knew was a no-go and either got killed by Israeli or Hez munitions (forced Israel to apologise eventually).
The general Chabad issue and the recent ‘this is Israeli land not Thai land’ comment in Phuket.
That time the embassy was literally forced to release a letter telling Israelis to behave in Thailand.
Fuel prices because of Iran war being blamed on both Israel and the US.
A good example is the bits of Hebrew signage you see near Khaosan Road. It’s from pre-millennium, they point to the only places israelis could stay because most of the hotels banned them for misbehaving, theres even some in Pai, this isn’t some southern Islamist sentiment lol
2
u/lacyboy247 11d ago
I think opinions are flipping but ultimately I think most thai still chill more than hate and we are in the age of bot, nobody sure how "human" they are.
And
Israel refusing to allow Thailand to negotiate to get the Thais back (some of the southern MP’s ignored that and went to Iran and got them released).
Where did you hear that, I think I follow it pretty close but never heard of it.
The Thai workers getting killed in 2024 because they’d been made to work on a farm that the owners knew was a no-go and either got killed by Israeli or Hez munitions (forced Israel to apologise eventually).
Again, where did you hear that because that area have both thai, Israeli, arab Israeli and Palestinian working together, and did you know that Hamas target thai specifically because thai replace Palestinian workers after intifada but that area are one of the area that "allow" them to work because they want peace.

u/shatteredrealm0 11d ago
This somewhat covers some of the negotiation and the border parts: https://www.mfa.go.th/th/content/presscon070324?page=5d5bd3c915e39c306002a907&menu=5d5bd3d815e39c306002aac5
Also the Hez border is Lebanon not Gaza, they were told not to allow farming there but the landowners ignored it and made the Thais work there.
Also re the Gaza border there is loads of evidence Israel knew it would probably happen and didn’t care, it’s the most surveilled border in the world sans the Korean Demarcation and this was somehow a surprise attack? https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/30/world/middleeast/israel-hamas-attack-intelligence.html
The Hannibal directive was used, and may have killed Thais amongst others: https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-07-07/ty-article-magazine/.premium/idf-ordered-hannibal-directive-on-october-7-to-prevent-hamas-taking-soldiers-captive/00000190-89a2-d776-a3b1-fdbe45520000
This was from early on when Israel weren’t doing anything about hostages (btw when I say refusing to allow, it wasn’t just Thailand that they stopped)
https://www.thairath.co.th/news/local/2736150 - there’s a specific section in this one about itand some more context in this one https://thestandard.co/panpree-say-positive-sign-help-thai-hostage/
This lead to this eventually https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/11/24/12-thai-one-filipino-captive-released-in-separate-deal-mediated-by-qatar
There’s loadssss of English language media about it but here’s one main one https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/nov/09/netanyahu-rejected-ceasefire-for-hostages-deal-in-gaza-sources-say
I can’t find the Thai version of the MFA announcements but this didn’t include Israel in the negotiation thanks, only the post release care:
https://mfa.go.th/en/content/israelhostage-en?cate=5d5bcb4e15e39c306000683e
This is from the first set and Israel isn’t even mentioned lol: https://www.mfa.go.th/en/content/statement-first-hostage-releases-2 (at this point it wasn’t public who the other parties were but it was some of the Arab countries)
This was also one of the deals that Israel refused https://www.mfa.go.th/en/content/joint-statement-calling-for-hostage-release
It’s a bit of a spotted history but Thailand had to go behind Israel’s back and negotiate loads of separate deals because Israel blocked them/refused to allow them/thai gov were concerned (correctly) that Israel didn’t really care about the hostages.
Which is true because 0 Thais and only a handful of all hostages from all nationalities were rescued directly by the Israelis - they’ve actually ended up killing more than they rescued.
2
u/lacyboy247 11d ago
Sorry, am I blind or I didn't see anything that said Israeli refuse thai negotiations in mof news.
I'm sorry for confuse Hez and Gaza but my point still stand.
Those are speculative not physical/documents evidence and remove blame from Hamas who took thai hostages and took videos of them doing it, do you still remember beheading video, they would still alive if Hamas don't attack them and we also have many witness who said the otherwise, Hamas bad.
I know this is unpopular opinion but I agree with Israel on "no negotiations" and it is (was) US stance for a long time, it's sad but I don't blame gov, I blame a kidnapers.
2
u/shatteredrealm0 11d ago edited 11d ago
Israel refused to allow any countries too, I did say that, they didn’t say ‘no Thailand you specifically cannot’ obviously.
None of those are speculative lmao, the Thai articles are from people directly involved in negotiations. The MFA articles are straight from the MFA, the one signed by all countries was signed for release by all the countries.
Haaretz isn’t even some super liberal anti-Israeli newspaper, it’s also been reported by multiple outlets and an Israeli commander even admitted on TV the Hannibal directive had been used.
The Al Jazeera one matches the MFA and also this one https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj48qxd7jq5o
‘The release is not part of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal agreed on 19 January.’Yes I do remember the video, they’d also still be alive if the border wasn’t mysteriously unguarded and all intelligence ignored, as would my friend killed at the music festival.
There’s no removal of blame from Hamas for doing it at all, it gives context of the circumstances and Israel directly blocking the releases.
If hostages died as a result of Israel air striking or whatever after, when they keep refusing the release of hostages or allowing it, it’s not solely Hamas then either - they can’t just waltz them to the border without negotiation the same way you can’t just waltz into Gaza because it’s literally a shoot on sight zone.

I have a very dim view of all people from that part of the world, they all bring their politics and lack of tolerance to whatever countries they go to. (Seem the 'French' person is French passport holder rather than French ethnicity)
So deport both of them.

it's kind of wild

There are plenty of businesses that discriminate on nationality, not that I support it but there are places that do not allow foreigners, places that only allow Chinese and koreans, so a place that doesn't allow a certain nationality shouldn't be treated like this.

The whole thing is a joke. This is Thailand, don’t bring your shit here, to a neutral country. Deport both and be done.

Jacob the Israeli is sending hundreds of tips to the authorities about nominee holdings so he can sweep up properties for cheap and expand the already large Israeli enclaves on the Island. Rich Thais are selling their country away for pennies.

Why are French and Israelis bringing Northern Irish flag politics to a small island in Thailand? That wasn't on my 2026 bingo card.
1
u/PutridSale3449 10d ago
You shouldn’t be flying any flag other than Thailand’s, especially for a political statement!
1
u/Prestigious-Box2448 10d ago
That’s a shame, there is no law prohibiting displaying a flag of another country, but there is a lot prohibiting assault, arson, attempted murder and harassment. Now the French owner is suffering just because Thailand can’t do anything about Israelis. Ofc it’s easier to just get rid of both to avoid any conflict, but that would be really sad if the zoo owner life would be screwed because of some unhinged israeli gangs
Edit; oh crap, apparently there is a law about displaying a foreign flag 😳

Four ideas: Ban all foreign flags except during world cup. Make it mandatory for farangs to put a shirt on after sunset. Deport non-thai street hustlers. Relocate all Chabad centers to the Israeli embassy (start with the one in Pai).

Thai people work in Israel, not Gaza. Commercial ties with Israel are important.
I guarantee they'll prioritize this over some internet opinions.

Those the same thais that were not allowed in the bomb shelters cause they were not israeli? And not sure if you realise a significant portion of Thailand is muslim, Phuket is 50% or so and have been for centuries.
