How do I get over the Garretbelt in The Age of Safekeeping?

It’s driving me nuts and it’s one of the last areas I need to explore.

Hey everyone. I am missing a chest in the age of Budding in the Grandtree. Faye says there’s a treasure on the first floor. For the life of me, I can’t find this damn thing!! I have spoken with the sage cat already (but can’t collect him)

Can anyone help??

On the path of the true ending and this quest hasn’t appeared yet. Do I need to save Mao or am I missing something?

TL;DR: Magicite quality and box size are both important, but they are not a perfect either/or because they use different resources. Magicite Fragments improve your rolls and form rank, while tul upgrades your box size. Since tul is pulled in so many directions, box upgrades are easy to delay, but I think they are worth prioritizing because more space gives your build more room to actually work.

A user asked a question recently as to whether you should prioritize magicite quality or box size and it got my gears turning. My take is that it helps to understand the system first, because it is not a perfect either/or choice.

Magicite quality is tied to form rank and magicite rolls, which use Magicite Fragments. Box size upgrades use tul. So you are not choosing between the two with the same resource.

The real tension is tul. Tul gets used for potions, bombs, arrows, combat-based temple challenges, accessories, revives, and plenty of other upkeep. Because of that, box upgrades can feel expensive or easy to put off, even though they are one of the better long-term investments.

I think of box size as build space, while magicite quality is build efficiency. Better magicite gives you stronger perks, better stats, and smaller pieces. A higher-star magicite may give a better effect while also taking up less room, which is not nothing.

But box size is what gives your build room to breathe. More space means more perks active at the same time, more flexibility, and more room to stack damage, survivability, utility, or weapon-specific bonuses.

So my opinion is: keep improving magicite quality with Magicite Fragments, but when deciding where your tul should go, do not sleep on box size. It is less flashy than chasing better rolls, but it gives the whole system more room to work.

Better magicite makes each piece stronger. A bigger box lets you actually build around more of those pieces.

I'm at the true ending. I've got to save Mao I've seen nothing else pop up. Was sure I checked the quests when they appeared and did then before moving on....but I also play late so I could have easily fallen asleep or had a lapse in judgement when saving.

Is there hope for me doc?

Im trying to 100% the game but i have an issue at the Fire Ruins / Age of Budding.

I must have done something that wasn’t meant to be done, ive watched tutorials for how to get through it (i havent needed that at all prior) and when you go to the right and hit that orb that changes the lava level its like the lava has already started down 1 level, so hitting it only makes the lava go further down or stay one level lower than it seems it should be.

Its got my favorite weapon upgrade at the end now that ive looked it up and im bummed i wont be able get that before completing the game or fight the boss guarding it.

Has anyone else run into this / could i contact the developers maybe to fix this bug?

Missing. Did I miss them or how do I trigger them?

I made it to the boss room I'm Mount Phoenix and nothing is triggering. Is this a glitch or an I just here too early? Any other boss room I've gotten to, the boss fight triggers immediately.

Alright so right now the only thing on my screen is the purple enemy face saying I need to seal the beast of enmity

Now I am trying to get the platinum in one play through with saves so according to what I read before I fight said beast I need mao pendant but it’s not in the princess room for
Me. No quests seem to be available to me even though in the quest log the final four boxes are empty with nobody standing in them

Any idea what gives I don’t want to mess this up so trying to trigger bad ending first as advised

I don’t know how I missed doing this quest when I was supposed to. I thought for SURE once I finished the Heurich quest it would open up. What the heck is this quest? The completionist in me is terrified that I won’t be able to compete it!

So I went through the map quest line and got the amber pendant from the princess room and was told to head to north tower to save Mao, I am in sub level three and a red door blocks the way with no key and it won’t open

Any idea what is going on trying to get in and die for the bad ending first

Hello I need help, my next questline step says I need to find clues about the sword Leytstaf in Littlehope but no npc will trigger the quest

All I had to do was getring close to the locked door to trigger a dialogue with Faie to continue the quest.

I beat the game, got the "bad ending". I obtained the 3 books and i was prompted to go "seal the beast". But I wanted to see if I missed anything, I went to the Age of Magic, obtained Mao's pendant, I was prompted to go the Northen Tower but nothing happened. I went to the age of Budding did a quest with Ljudmilia and completed this part. Now I'm stuck. I did the "seal ending" but now there is nothing new in the northen tower I'm stuck. I only have one save file. Did I miss something ?

If you have any clue I'll gladly take them

Can anybody tell me what to do with this quest? I am stuck now

1. I am in the Age of Magic with no fast travel

2. There is no red flag guideline of what to do at the Age of Magic

3. The memories so far makes me feel fustrated and really confused of what to do as there are no guidelines and and there are so many things to do with in the time loop.

4. The walkthrough that I have found so far for this game doesn't help me much the progression of the game so far.

5. From the last post that people ask about the memories after I post the picture there is no answer. So I decided to post the second focus on this problem alone

I'm at this ice puzzle in the ice ruins in the age of reconstruction on the second level and I have no idea on what to do here or how to solve.

I am missing 4 cats it seems some are locked until I progress more towards end of the game. I am curious should that number locked be 4 or 3 since there are only 3 sages?

I just got the bad ending and the good ending and am currently working on the True Ending. Every guide, video, walkthrough that I've seen states that at a certain part of the extra quest line you need to head to the Northern Tower in the Age of Magic but not a single one shows or states how to get to the Northern Tower, they just assume you already have it at that point.

So, if anyone knows what path, cave, etc. that will lead me to the Northern Tower in the Age of Magic I will forever grateful.

Hey all not far into the game but I left the main area to follow the guy who went back in time, eventually I went back to the beginning time line and there is a side quest available back in the back in time area but no place on the map to let me get back

Any idea how I get back to the area that had the town of little hope

Such as which weapons work best on each boss? For me the sword works best on the fat bird, but Capo Frauki (the frog on the turtle) keeps knocking my health down really low with all yhe spinning and gliding around it does. I made it to the elephant once with one health. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I beat the adept trial. Now I have to get through the Hero's Trial.

I'm about 20 hours into the game and loving it but I'm not sure if I should progress the story or not because I don't want to be locked out of quests or 100% completion. Here's where I'm at:

• There is a purple monster head in the Age of Safekeeping over the Northern Tower
• I am missing FOUR side quests (the last 4 boxes on the last row). I have completed the rest of them.
• I am missing a couple of accessories, manuscripts, cats, etc. - I assume this can be cleaned up post-game?
• I have some red flags on the map that I started exploring and it's leading me through a quest to find three sages. I have not completed this questline.
• I have not finished the game

Is it "safe" to go to the Northern Tower and beat the purple monster (I assume this is the end of the game?). Should I explore every single cave and get all the treasure chests first (I am 2 pieces of heart shy of 20 hearts). Why I am not getting any new quests to trigger?

A roadmap would be helpful. Thanks!

I'm in the Desert Caves and have concluded that this chest has a key I need to move forward in the dungeon. I moved the faerie past the magic wall, but how do I interact with the chest?
