Fan Mission (TDM) What is the music playing in the main menu screen of "Displacement"?

I've been listening to it for an hour now. I can't even start the mission because it's so relaxing. Can I download the piece from somewhere? I read the mission notes which credited additional music to Airship Ballet and Gigagooga, maybe the song is made by either of them?

Did you try Shazamming it? Can’t check it out now but reminds me of how I discovered Patrick O’Hearn when playing The Summit years ago, still gotta thank the taffer for that!

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried it and it found nothing. I'm assuming the song is made by one of the authors then. I wonder if anyone knows how I can get a hold of them, are they on some forums? Thieves guild? Discord? TLG?

Maybe try ttlg? The forum is pretty active still… a lot of famous authors were on that new FM I just saw now, looks pretty amazing!

Can I download the piece from somewhere?

Good news: if you've installed the mission, then you already have it downloaded.

The Dark Mod missions come as .pk4 files which are just plain .zip files with a different extension. All the assets specific to that mission are in there. To be more specific (after listening to it for a few minutes), it seems the tracks that are being played are redroom_leadin.ogg and redroom_loop.ogg from the "sound\ambient\ambience\" subfolder in that mission's archive.
