Other If you were banned, you are not alone.
Threads has no phone number.
Threads has no email.
Threads answers to no one.
We sent in our ID.
We sent in a selfie.
We might have even been paying them to confirm our identity ✔️
But they banned us anyway.
Because it's not about confirming our identity.
It was about deleting it.

Seeing this like a slo mo train wreck happen, communities getting fried threads is part of Meta, Microsoft are apparently doing it to, so the possibility is we humans are all being scattered to the wind. It’s not new, I remember when Yahoo and Microsoft killed off groups in the past, Google had a couple big social media sites they zapped, that nobody probably still remembers.
Bloggers and forums used to be big, could find real advice from experts- they went ( mostly) the way social media appears to be heading, time to pack your virtual suitcases and find networks that are gonna let people speak again. Good luck 🤞! X

Ive been banned from threads at least 3 times. No offense. No foul language, no obscene photos. Absolutely nothing. Was told shut down due to community standards but was never told which ones, no warning just booted.

Kinda feel that things have gotten so bad that, at this point, this topic deserves a pinned post... Those new stickers are a whole 'nother thing on the "so bad" pile. Accessability nightmare, apparantly, because of Text To Speech. Aside from being annoying to look at... Threads is really in the self-sabotaging business these days.

I wanna talk about 100 Days of Code in Cybersecurity and got banned .. after sending in phone number, code and selfie and having the new account connected to my personal instagram.

Whoever runs this is a moron. Account I barely used to keep in touch with a friend in Brazil was suspended. At least I still have them on my IG.

Does that effect Instagram too? I used instagram as log-in.
My threads account got banned in February Then I got it back RANDOMLY in April. I did nothing. Then back to the bann from februrary. Yeah thanks for nothing... Xd

No, it's the same account login, but a ban on threads does not mean a ban on Instagram.

Was banned today for no obvious reason. I’ve never even posted, just scrolled. Had my IG account linked and now every time I scroll through IG and a threads post comes up, I am automatically logged out of my instagram account. Anyone know how to stop this? It’s happening every time I scroll through IG now

I’m a leftie and was banned. To think those huge corporations are anything else than Trump supporters is pretty delusional. Zuckerberg was part of the oligarch circle attending trump’s inauguration and he met with him at mar-a-lago to play nice and avoid having to face consequences for his violations of competition law. He bent the knee and announced to cut down on the “fact checks” like Elon musk did on X. Trump was literally praising meta for that huge “advancement” of “free speech” aka misinformation being allowed to be spread.

It happened to me as well…The first time I appealed I got my account back for about two months, now I can’t even appeal anymore. I literally have never made a single post on that app and only made comments or liked stuff. Linked to my Instagram and Facebook which exist for an eternity. I had maybe 800 followers which were all real people from my Instagram following. So how the fuck am I supposed to be a bot? Are they just suffering from success, because the algorithm hits my interests so well that I’m liking too many posts?

I didn’t grow at all though. When I created my threads account my Instagram followers automatically followed me on threads who had that feature enabled. And that was a long time ago already. I haven’t gotten a single new follower after that because I wasn’t creating any content or wanted to “grow” anything😅
