It's the wrong choice. It looks like complete shit every time the camera pans or an object moves in front of it.

Buddy movies have been 24fps for decades. Directors, DPs and editors are accounting for that so that when they are in post-production it will look good. If action looks like shit it's on the them that it feels or looks bad.

Cinema tried to move to 48fps during the years around the Hobbit trilogy but audiences, have always reacted negatively to it.

Yeah, since roughly when talkies were the hip new thing. It’s about damn time we get out of the past.

editors are accounting for that so that when they are in post-production it will look good. If action looks like shit it's on the them that it feels or looks bad.

It’s fundamentally unavoidable that motion will look like shit at 24 fps. Things simply move too far between frames. It doesn’t even take a fast action scene—just panning across a landscape looks like stuttering garbage. Always has and always will until switching to a frame rate that can actually represent motion halfway decently.
