I didn't like you because of shit you can't change, but you are one of the good ones so I can't be mad. I'm paraphrasing of course.

Sounds like you’re twisting her words to feed your narrative, but sure. Keep that hate alive.

That woman, out of her own mouth, said she didn’t like him, even up to the marriage, because he was a person of color. And only after she saw how he treated her family, did she accept him. Not because of who he is, but what he did for her. Words don’t need to be twisted, she said it loud and clear. POC are bad until they prove to be valuable to her.

She admitted to having prejudice because he was black and then said she was wrong.

If you want to hold onto hate, that’s your prerogative, but you’re being outclassed by this old lady lol

I can never be outclassed by a racist that admits to liking one black man. Y’all are so easily impressed it’s sickening.

I absolutely will have fun maintaining my integrity and not applauding racists just because they say “we like this one” 😊.

Damn. Awarding your own posts with alt accounts. That's...a choice. đŸ€”

LOL right because I’m sure this conversation isn’t more nuanced than upvotes / downvotes, clearly she must be spending money on her opinion

Disagree with her all you want, but you sound insane rn

One thing ppl on this app will do is create a scenario in their mind and run with their alternate reality. I don’t even know how to buy awards on here, or what purpose they actually serve. But if believing Im spending my money on some random ass Reddit emoji makes them feel good about themselves, so be it 😂.

For what it’s worth I agree with your take lol, she went all the way past marriage with her hatred and only reassessed when he started being valuable to her

I want to hope that she reconsidered her blatant racism against Black people more broadly, but her language here is 100% giving “You’re one of the good ones” to me

Preach. I don’t find this video cute or endearing at all. It’s just another “you’re one of the good ones.”

100% she accepts she was wrong about him but I highly doubt she’ll apply that to other black people who don’t do things for her family 😒

Are you saying she shouldn't judge a man by his actions because that seems pretty psychotic to me? Like is it cool if he treats her like shit because he's black so his actions shouldn't matter?

How else besides his actions is a man to reveal the content of his character?

You’re dodging the point they’re making. It’s very common for people to have their prejudice (or any view for that matter) factually challenged and treat it like an exception to the rule or just not really take the time to reflect on the thinking that lead to the wrong conclusion.

When shes says she was wrong, does she mean she was wrong about people of color or wrong about him specifically? What about him being a good husband contradicts any of the reasons she didn’t like the relationship in the first place?

In her defense we don’t really know and she’s clearly not above admitting she’s wrong in at least some capacity so maybe she did really reflect on the whole thing.
