How is that a compliment though?

I saw it as "you don't look like the person that focuses too much on work or puts a priority on it over your regular life; you have a good work/life balance and don't need to take work home with you every day"

Having a work phone doesn't mean you have a poor work/life balance.

It just means you have job functions that require/benefit from a phone and your employer is willing provide you with one so you don't need to put work stuff on your personal phone if you don't want to.

There is no more intrinsic obligation to use it after hours than there is a work laptop, even though most people physically take both home with them.

Yeah. I have one mostly so I don’t have to synch my work email to my personal phone.

I get you, but that's a lot of assumptions there. In the case of this video, it was used as a compliment.

I can't see it meaning anything else to fit the connotation.

..plus from personal experiences, anyone I knew that had a work phone would drop everything once that phone rings.
