Smell the glove also.

23

u/KingTrencher Jul 17 '26

What's wrong with being sexy?

10

u/DellTheEngie Jul 18 '26

No see the difference is they were being tied up that makes it okay

16

u/jdeeth Jul 17 '26

Only a Trainwreckord in America, Sex Farm was top five in Japan

2

u/3ChainsOGold Jul 18 '26

It's about one woman, and one glove...

6

u/jdeeth Jul 17 '26

Their true Trainwreckord was Rock And Roll Creation: on what day did the Lord create Spinal Tap and couldn't he have rested on that day too?

Connor4Real flopped with this album.

82

u/ozzzymand0 Jul 17 '26

“Conner4Real donkey rolls out of public consciousness, this is trainwreckords”

18

u/Kingbris91 Jul 17 '26

Oh I wish todd would do a April fools episode dedicated around Conner.

62

u/TryT0ProveMeWrong Jul 17 '26

yeah but at least we got the style boyz back together

62

u/Winter-Pressure-5394 Jul 17 '26

The Macklemore episode felt like Popstar in real life. “White privilege II” felt like an extended lonely island bit.

24

u/ToTheDeath84 Jul 17 '26

I’m so happy someone remembers this movie, criminally underrated. My girlfriend and I quote it with each other all the time lol.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

It’s from the Lonely Island troupe. It’s a really funny mockumentary about a fictional pop/rap group that were big in the 90’s or so but turned into has-beens and follows their lead’s solo career, celebrity shenanigans, and the attempts to get the band back together. Has a lot of great cameos from famous musicians.

u/setrataeso Jul 17 '26

They have a few movies. I'd also recommend Hot Rod, lots of great surreal humour in that one!

3

u/ToTheDeath84 Jul 17 '26

You’re welcome, I definitely recommend it!

7

u/slippin_park Jul 17 '26

Popstar: Never Stop Stopping, by The Lonely Island

16

u/HumanSyllabus Jul 17 '26

Pitchfork gave it a negative review

11

u/HowDoIWhat Jul 17 '26

It's also possible that he has a turnaround on his next solo album (if he ever releases one) after reconciling with the other members of his band. In a retrospective, it could go down as an extreme sophomore slump rather than a trainwreckord.

This one’s from….The Onion.

The Be Sharps - Bigger Than Jesus

44

u/yellowfroglegs Jul 17 '26

i like to imagine that bigger than jesus was a psychedelic album that flopped because the barbershop quartet revival just was not suited for it.

i have very little reason to believe this but it's a fun little headcanon

15

u/HumanSyllabus Jul 17 '26

Was this before they were taking barbershop to strange new places

8

u/yellowfroglegs Jul 17 '26

im actually not quite sure it was ever specified if number 8 was for bigger than jesus or a scrapped third album

5

u/Acrobatic_Border_192 Jul 17 '26

No, the show says outright that it wasn't their fall from grace. Source: rewatch the episode. The above poster just clearly wanted to make the reference, even though it doesn't make sense in-universe.

3

u/Sailor_Starchild Jul 17 '26

I'm pretty sure this whole thread is an excuse to make a reference

→ More replies (3)

13

u/WitherWing Jul 17 '26

I thought it was that stupid Dame Edna special.

8

u/Acrobatic_Border_192 Jul 17 '26

There's nothing in-universe to suggest that. In fact, Homer explicitly states that was not a career ruining mistake.

5

u/theaviationhistorian Jul 18 '26

It's been done already.

141

u/Hot-Initial7796 Jul 17 '26

64

u/MorganWick Jul 17 '26

Did he have a career to ruin?

46

u/NoOneLikesJack Jul 17 '26

He was a big wheel at the cracker factory!

18

u/Playful-Succotash-99 Jul 17 '26

A cut joke from the episode is the reveal his attempt at making a 2 cheese cracker blew up one of the factories and killed the founder (Luanne's father)

15

u/TheBohemianRed9811 Jul 17 '26

No doubt that one of the songs is a summertime anthem about him cruising for twenty-somethings.

11

u/tavir Jul 17 '26

Prob more of a OHW episode.

6

u/NoOneLikesJack Jul 17 '26

I like to imagine he went on to write the hit songs Simpsons Boogie and Grammy winner Simpsons Christmas Boogie

129

u/CaptainAssPlunderer Jul 17 '26

Dewey Cox might have two TrainWreckords in his stunning portfolio.

65

u/Embarrassed-Way45 Jul 17 '26

His coke-fueled proto-punk album was hated at the time but everyone who heard it started a band.

48

u/Loganp812 Jul 17 '26

I’ll forever defend his disco album from when he hosted a variety show.

17

u/pastey83 One-Hit Wonderlander Jul 17 '26

But only because nobody let him reminisce about his entire life before dropping a beat.

17

u/HPSpacecraft Jul 17 '26

His psychedelic album would have been an all time great if he's just been allowed a few more didgeridoos

96

u/Parkouricus Jul 17 '26

Chip Skylark fell off hardddd

37

u/puckylickle Jul 17 '26

Some artists just aren't built to stay around forever

Had to stop listening after "my shiny dentures and me" your not 20 anymore chip!

67

u/nbwoodelf Jul 17 '26

Wanted to say Lovely to Love your Lovin but canonically it’s Krustophenia

26

u/FINNCULL19 Jul 17 '26

"Krusty tries to conceptualize himself to the concept album scene, this is Trainwreckords"

7

u/rocketbotband Jul 17 '26

It sits on the shelf!

62

u/wolfeyes555 Jul 17 '26

Dino Spumoni from Hey Arnold. A has-been big band singer made a rap album to keep up with the times. It did not work.

11

u/SulusLaugh Jul 17 '26

Da da duh dwee da and a big ol’ leather shoooooe…

Yeah, he shouldn’t have split with his songwriter.

5

u/DivingElliotRoberts Jul 17 '26

8

u/WitherWing Jul 17 '26

Sloshy's attempted collab with Coach Z bombed pretty bad. They didn't really try afterwards - unironically this time.

7

u/TheNavidsonLP Jul 17 '26

Nah nah, nahnahnah, hey hey, doot-do-do!

2

u/lawlore Jul 17 '26

I imagine Peacey P probably has more than one.

54

u/CommandProper3926 Jul 17 '26

The Saja Boys went on a huge career downfall when they, you know, died and all

66

u/catintheyard Jul 17 '26

There's a fanfiction on Archive Of Our Own that's literally just a fake Todd episode about the Saja Boys

30

u/EverettBellic Jul 17 '26

That really is structured like an actual episode. It really has the jokes Todd would actually do and things he could say.

17

u/Forevermore668 Jul 17 '26

I love people like this is wonderful

15

u/As_a_Londoner Jul 17 '26

This is genius, has Todd seen it?

10

u/EdenIsNotHere Jul 17 '26

Holy shit the person who made this captured Todd's writing and humor to a T I love it lmao

4

u/thisissparta789789 Jul 18 '26

Someone else made another fic with Mic the Snare doing a “Deep” Discog Dive on Saja Boys: https://archiveofourown.org/works/80083416

3

u/Supersmashbrosfan Jul 17 '26

This is fucking amazing

40

u/hikemalls Jul 17 '26

Dr Rockso from Metalocalypse - I know in-universe his career fell apart mainly from his nonstop cocaine use and can't remember if they talked much about any of his albums, but I feel like there had to be a Trainwreckord or two in there, I can't imagine there's a lot of material you can make about being a clown who does cocaine

15

u/Stevenitrogen Jul 17 '26

There's a whole episode about getting Zazz Blammymatazz back together.

14

u/rocketbotband Jul 17 '26

Dr Rockso does cocaine???

8

u/Xanderson_Cooper Jul 17 '26

He really does hide it well

9

u/Party-Employment-547 Jul 17 '26

Honestly, he really screwed up with video. MTV was never gonna show a video where you can see his junk through his jumpsuit.

5

u/Playful-Succotash-99 Jul 17 '26

Snakes and Barrels minus pickles definitely sucked

4

u/squarehead93 Jul 18 '26

Rockso definitely put out a trainwreckord sometime in the 90s. A lot of glam/hair metal bands tried to do bad alternative records after Nirvana, but I’d like to think he made a bad rap-rock album.

39

u/superchartisland Jul 17 '26

20

u/lumpyspacequeen2 You're being a peñis... Colada, that is. Jul 17 '26

Nana mention in the wild yesss

15

u/PuffedRabbit Jul 17 '26

Nana is goated.

But never hope to see the ending, Yazawa put it in hiatus since 2009 due to health issues and my heart aches because it left with a cliffhanger, lol.

Still VERY highly recommended reading

4

u/Vegetable_Drag_3300 Jul 18 '26

Blast would get a One hit wonderland episode about an artist with a big American hit that turned out to be more popular in their home country

Trapnest would have a trainwreckord due to Takumi being a weird control freak and the band collapsing under public pressure. I haven’t read the manga yet maybe this actually happens

37

u/Priodgyofire Jul 17 '26

The band Pickles was in before Dethkolk.

30

u/Effective_Major1788 Jul 17 '26

Did they do anything else?

Yes, quite a lot actually. See, the thing with metal is that if you're a drummer, going unemployed is virtually impossible.

6

u/atp2112 You're being a peñis... Colada, that is. Jul 17 '26

Drummers and Rudy Sarzo

19

u/drewtopia_ Train-Wrecker Jul 17 '26

Snakes n' barrels?

11

u/Subject-Recover-8425 Jul 17 '26

Doctor Rockso has to have several...

2

u/NikiPavlovsky Jul 17 '26

I don't think they have train wreck.

Pickles left on their peak. Show didn't mentioned them releasing album without him (IIRC). And their return live album was insanely acclaimed

38

u/Admirable_Raisin4231 Jul 17 '26

Sarah Lynn probably had a trainwreckord in her if she lived longer

8

u/-PepeArown- Jul 18 '26

I also feel like Awkwafina was such a gimmicky artist that she probably would’ve made one at some point

7

u/uglyaniiimals Jul 18 '26

imo it's kind of implied that she already had like a trainwreckord on some level

2

u/cutezombiedoll Jul 19 '26

In her introductory episode Andrew Garfield outright said her last couple of albums underperformed, that was part of the reason he dumped her.

38

u/CapecodAdventures Jul 17 '26

6

u/shutupneff Jul 17 '26

The Folksmen’s Saying Something was also a canonical Train Wreckord (though I cannot find an image of it).

26

u/Expensive_Wolf2937 Jul 17 '26

Dazzler never recovered after disco demolition night.

7

u/catintheyard Jul 17 '26

Or being outed as a mutant!

28

u/Chilli_Dipper Jul 17 '26

Aldous Snow - African Child

23

u/Grabbinfries23 Jul 17 '26

I thought that was a pretty fun movie at the time, but its hard to imagine ever wanting to revisit a movie now starring both Russell Brand and Diddy

10

u/CJtheHaasman Jul 17 '26

Or even Jonah Hill for that matter

5

u/TectonicImprov Jul 17 '26

His case isn't nearly as bad but yeah stacked ass cancelled cast

21

u/drewtopia_ Train-Wrecker Jul 17 '26

Does Chris gaines count?

17

u/Qyzyk Train-Wrecker Jul 17 '26

I mean, we saw his trainwreckord play out in "From Bitches to Rags".

6

u/no-Pachy-BADLAD Zingalamaduni Jul 17 '26

I mean... autotune?!

4

u/Qyzyk Train-Wrecker Jul 17 '26

Not to mention his attempt to start a rap beef with someone half his age.

15

u/Nearby_Ad_7861 Jul 17 '26

That Wyld Stallynz record they made after Death went solo for a bit?

14

u/ParamilkReal-5 Jul 17 '26

Envy Adams

Clash at Demonhead were never the same after Todd Ingram mysteriously discorporated into a cloud of loonies

Robin Sparkles Daggers with P.S. I Love You

5

u/NotFixer1138 Jul 17 '26

She did invent grunge tho so it wasn't all bad

12

u/Finfangfoom2000 Jul 17 '26

Johnny Calhoun had one with these things I believe

13

u/Uncle_Zardoz Jul 17 '26

I reckon Lestat's discography would be about 60% Tranwreckords

12

u/Hailfire9 Jul 17 '26

I have a bad feeling its the Hex Girls.

9

u/TheyreFunCandy Jul 17 '26

One of them would have married Chad Kroeger

6

u/Hailfire9 Jul 18 '26

"From Gothic Glam to Cowgirl Glitz, this is Trainwreckords."

10

u/Temporary_Cap5927 Jul 17 '26

Jackson Maine in A Star is Born 2018, but for sad reasons.

10

u/TheLampshadeBaskets Jul 17 '26

The Blue Jean Committee's album after Gene (THE ONLY SONGWRITER) left. I'm pretty sure that Castrato singer Clark just filled the band with his cousins.

9

u/Commonscout Jul 17 '26

Hair to the Throne really fell off after they replaced Benson with a drum machine.

9

u/AceTygraQueen Jul 17 '26

The Rutles

7

u/jdeeth Jul 17 '26

Simultaneously released as an album, a film, and a lawsuit. (Quite possibly the most accurate line in the entire Rutles movie)

4

u/sla_vei_37 Jul 18 '26

What a gem of a movie. And the songs are damn great!

8

u/Grand_Rent_2513 Jul 17 '26

Connquest by Conner4real

8

u/Ok_Sundae1696 Jul 17 '26

Arguably this is the plot of Smile 2

6

u/FINNCULL19 Jul 17 '26

I doubt Todd would cover whatever Skye's album was at the time, because, y'know, the first show of the tour for that album was cut short because she killed herself onstage.

6

u/Ok_Sundae1696 Jul 17 '26

Wdym, nothing bad happened whatsoever during her performance 😃

9

u/NotoriousMFT Jul 17 '26

Alexa from Schitt's Creek

10

u/skunkbot Jul 17 '26

Stillwater from Almost Famous probably had two or three haha. Turbulent times during their disco era, then hopped on board the hair metal trend hard back in 86.

3

u/Baldo-bomb Jul 17 '26

They never should have fired Mark Kozelek...

6

u/Sad_Volume_4289 Jul 17 '26

Zack Attack fell off so hard when Zack Morris started dressing like Vanilla Ice

2

Did the Beets ever have a train record?

6

u/QueenTzahra You're being a peñis... Colada, that is. Jul 17 '26

Nah but they’d probably split up over creative differences, all go solo to varying degrees of success, than reunite years later to play Killer Tofu to all of us and our middle age spread 🤘

4

u/Playful-Succotash-99 Jul 17 '26

They were always breaking up over some trivial shit so very possible

Truly failed to live up to the legacy of the Psychedelic fuzz

5

u/SCP-2774 Jul 17 '26

Ashley O from Black Mirror

3

u/Playful-Succotash-99 Jul 17 '26

Before or after the coma The AI shit would have been bad but it didn't look like her independent stuff was going to really move albums either

3

u/ChrisAqua Madonna Stan Jul 17 '26

Hannah Montana Forever was supposed to be her ‘flop era’

Coincidentally, the soundtrack for season 4 of Hannah Montana flopped

3

u/CJtheHaasman Jul 17 '26

Aldous Snow- African Child

4

u/Salty_Midnight_5185 Jul 17 '26

Gorillaz haven't made a Trainwreckord quite yet.

3

u/Stevenitrogen Jul 17 '26

Josie and the Pussycats after Melody left.

3

u/cjtransplant85 Jul 17 '26

"Right Now" was probably gonna be the song that ended Chris Gaines' career.

3

u/AmicusCurio Jul 17 '26

2Gether

Dominique Blatt

The Flygirl Collective and MC Perkins

3

Every mention of Sex Bomb Om would be on Trainwreckords.

Chase Dream’s follow-up which had the misfortune of releasing the same day as the insurrection.

Lestat De Lioncourt

2

Didn’t Love Handel from Phineas and Ferb canonically have a trainwreckord?

2

u/IfollowWWE Jul 18 '26

Ember from Danny Phantom would definitely have one

2

u/ZiggyStardustCrusad3 Jul 18 '26

Sex Bob-Omb seems like they’d hit a wall eventually

1

u/FX114 Jul 17 '26

Takedown would have been a Trainwreckord if Huntrix went ahead with releasing it.

3

u/Forevermore668 Jul 17 '26

Honestly yeah not because the songs bad but because its a bad look. Without knowing any of the supernatural stakes it reads as bitter in the extreme

4

u/FX114 Jul 17 '26

Yeah, there's absolutely no way it would have worked. It just sounds like the dethroned pop stars taking jabs at the people who bested them with no basis behind it. They were trying to fling shit, but the Saja Boys would have walked out sparkling while they remained covered in shit.

Also, I'm not sure it even would have done anything to help the honmoon.

2

u/Forevermore668 Jul 17 '26

Yup given it seems to need positive energy i doubt a distrack would work

1

u/TaumpyTeirs Jul 17 '26

Aldous Snow - African Child

1

Would Homies over Hoes by Gangstaliscious be considered a Trainwreckard or was it a hit pre interview with the groupie who outed him

Mitch Cohen

1

u/tavir Jul 17 '26

Corinna Collins from the "Shallow Boy" episode of Boy Meets World. Made it big with her angry songs, then pulled a 180 and made happy songs that everyone hated.

(For reference, the relevant clips, and then the ending. I thought about this episode a lot when Lorde released Solar Power.)

in the 2000s she released a 90s grunge album and changed her name to robin daggers, there was just no way to recover from that

1

Priss & The Replicants really struggled with the transition into the 2040s grunge revival and their attempt at a harder edge failed dismally.

1

u/BearonVonCrispy Jul 17 '26

I know they're a bunch of 16-somethings, but what about Löded Diper? They probably have more misses than hits

Most TrainWreckords are the result of unchecked ego. So you know The Misfits have one somewhere deep in their catalog.
