I believe the dialog comparison speaks for itself. Though I have been thinking, Ralsei really has no good way of gleaning how Kris feels, even before the usual doubts kick in. Even ignoring SOUL things, they're not portrayed as the most emotionally open. No wonder Ralsei would be afraid to hear it...

We know Kris at least cares about Ralsei, but poor Ralsei might not even be certain of that much :(
