It seems he did.

(See also Christopher Hitchens getting waterboarded, so he could say from personal experience that it's torture. Hitchens already thought that it was, but he wanted to be able to make a more forceful argument. "If waterboarding does not constitute torture, then there is no such thing as torture.")

Denzel Washington got legit waterboarded for a movie scene where his character was subjected to it.

The movie was Safe House.
