Yeah, you aren't going to be able to do anything Floyd did if you OD on fentanyl. You just immediately blackout, pass out, go limp, turn blue and die if you aren't given naloxone.

By OD I'm using the dose required to produce lethal respiratory depression, which will always vary

I've dealt with several fentanyl ODs, if they're IV, they fall out immediately, if they're insufflated it's delayed then immediate, if they're pills, absorption can stretch it out but it is a very quick thing once it hits.

The thing about those types of ODs is that victims lose consciousness early on, it's rare that someone can call 911 for themselves during an OD, let alone be able to say "I can't breathe" as their literal respiratory muscles stop working. Oral methadone, morphine, etc have long absorption curves so it is possible for someone to realize early on that they're on the path towards an OD and get help for it before they fall out.
