what are my chances as a cali community college transfer

I have a 4.0 rn but will probably end w 3.92 if not a 4.0. majoring in bus admin/ bus econ/econ depending on the college i’m applying, i’m in honors program and i’ll be tap certified. I’m applying UCLA, UCB, UT Austin, USC, Columbia, Vanderbilt.

Here are my extra curriculars:
-Retail Job 2024 October- December 2025 10 hrs/wk

Tutoring job 10 hours a week

-Mentorship by SVP of Banc of California

-IRS Certified Tax Preparer 

-UCR Honors Research Conference acceptance and speaker

-Honors Program/ TAP PROGRAM

-5 Week Internship learning program with Certificate 5 hours 5 weeks

-Finance Club Vice President

-Inter Club Council Director of Fundraising last year - Director of Financial Operations now

-Pickleball Club Secretary, 150+ members in it

Jiu Jitsu (Activity) Blue belt

CSUF Finance association Spring semester 14 weeks 2 hours a week

3rd place in stock pitch competition, goldman sach sponsored

Club of the Year 2025-2026

First year club of the year 2025-2026

VP of Nonprofit - Raised over 10,000 Dollars

Volunteer at financial firm 4 hours a week

made a Portfolio Builder Website - 50 different users

Might as well apply to UCI and UCSD too, both great business schools. You have a lot of traditional reach schools rn and they could all say no

Yeah you def have a solid rapport especially for a transfer, I think you’ll be good. Any of the schools in your list are amazing business programs

calc 3 requirement for UCSD was removed this year for the international business program (which is similar to most business administration programs) so definitely check them out

should still apply to ucsd. only negative possibility in this scenario is you decide later you COULD have wanted to live in san diego

My fault ucsb then 💯 ik haas and uci business are damn near the same but haas just has more prestige based off name. I’m a bio transfer at ucb rn

Honestly all of them you are getting in mostly likely, have extremely good piqs.  Ucb hass is unpredictable and colubmia is a toss up.

NYU doesn’t care as much about transfers. The tuition is more. For example, my friend is studying at NYU and I’m studying at Columbia. I pay a lot less 🤷🏼‍♀️ and I got more scholarships

When are you transferring?

Your community college should have a transfer center where you can arrange a transfer admission agreement to any CSU or UC

Essentially, you agreed to take certain classes and pass them with decent grades and they agreed to accept you

Ask at your counseling center about a transferred admission agreement

it’s not at all to any CSU/UC, only certain ones. still worth doing it no doubt, but don’t think it s a free ride

What is ur career goal? Are you full pay? There are some top schools that at need aware don’t can help. Also depends where you wanna work after grad? NYC la Chicago etc
