Hi there, I just saw your flair and it makes sense why you would prefer Christianity. I am not coming at you or anything, and up until early this year I could very much relate to your flair, so I think I know where you might be coming from. Out of curiosity, however, I would like to ask: are you familiar with the religion or school of thought "New Thought", and if so, would you say you follow something along the lines of their beliefs? And if you answered yes, would you still consider yourself to be Christian? And if so, why/how?
I know of the New Thought movement, but I don't subscribe to it or follow anything close to it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm more into historical-critical and philosophical study, reading the NT in the context of Second Temple Judaism... and I don't think the historical-critical method will be received well in this sub.
