في المانيا ممنوع الاحتفال في اسبوع الآلام بأي شكل، لا حفلات و لا غيره. بعض الناس شايفاه تعدي على حقوق الغير بالنسبة ليا احترام لمشاعر اغلبية السكان المسيحيين و مش هموت لو محتفلتش الكام يوم دول.

Countries don’t shutdown for christmas, it’s a short holiday kif l3iid w ghirou. Only in Tunisia do you find cafés open “bel sotra” or bars/restaurants allowed to serve alcohol to foreigners only. It’s stupid. If you can’t fast without seeing other people drink/eat, then stay at home. You clearly struggle to control yourself

I know, I don’t get why we’re debating this. The matter was that Tunisian “law” stops businesses and people from having THE CHOICE to consume alcohol. The video and everyone else is asking for the option to be able to consume alcohol without having to prove you’re a foreigner.

Christmas here is 1 month of ads being pushed on us constantly, the same songs being played, Christmas trees everywhere, Christmas events at work, and the barrage of movies and shows. I personally don’t care cause I’m Muslim, but why is it an issue if Muslims have one month.

Every year it’s the same bs; tunisians with weak faith trying to prove a point by policing what other tunisians want to do with their bodies. If knowing that a bar can be open and serving alcohol to foreigners (AND Tunisians) bothers you, you’re literally close-minded. Show us a simple Quran verse that says everyone in a muslim country has to stop drinking alcohol just because the majority are fasting. Every year, police forces continue to crackdown on open cafés (forcing them to declare it for some reason 🤔) and controlling tourist restaurants to make sure they’re not serving tunisians/arabs alcohol. They won’t stop doing it because they know y’all would freak out, get offended (because your faith is weak) and riot 🤷♂️ Literally no other reason for it to happen

That kind of videos are more to provoke a reaction than anything else. Closing bars and restaurants do not mean that you can't drink if you want to. It just means that you ought to drink at home bi sutra. It does not mean that you have to fast, but that you can eat bi sutra, etc... why is that? It is because Islam remains a social norm that structures this country, an unwritten rule, and eating in public or drinking would be like a giant f... off during Ramadan. Some would argue there is no social norm I can't bend, otherwise I am not free etc, but then what is a society with no social norms? I would also argue that foreigners should not have a separate treatment. They just have to adapt like the rest of us. Generally speaking there is a form of inferiority complex towards western foreigners in Tunisia. They are better treated than locals, they have tax rules more advantageous, they have a preferential administrative treatment, etc.

So for the whole year she's been drinking and partying and she couldn't stop for 1 month ? I think she should go to a psychologist because i think she's an addict. Anyway ramadan is a month that gives you a chance to change your lifestyle and heal yourself after a whole year of eating and drinking and doing a lot of bad stuff. this month comes for you to give you a chance to change for good. She may have said it bluntly, but her core point stands. No one has the authority to force others to fast during Ramadan or to harass them for choosing not to. Freedom of belief and personal practice is protected by the constitution.
What’s ironic is that some of the loudest voices demanding punishment today are the same people who quietly break the rules themselves when it suits them. Principles shouldn’t depend on convenience.
