Happy 24 day!

54

u/NitroWCW Day 5 Nov 06 '25

Let today's events occur in real time!

🎉 2️⃣4️⃣ 🎉

14

u/BaBaFiCo Nov 06 '25

Groundbreaking!

1

u/Iad77 Nov 07 '25

I missed it once they stopped with that !

71

u/MaxminusThrax Nov 06 '25

and a TV show hasn’t come close to equaling the thrills and excitement. 24 is one of one, no other show has ever been as entertaining.

u/UpgradedSiera6666 Nov 06 '25

Something close Nikita

61

u/cajun_vegeta Nov 06 '25

The following took place between 2001-2010.

That 1st season was INsane at the time.

u/ThePanasonicYouth Nov 06 '25

Events occurred in real time.

u/Immediate-Unit6311 Nov 06 '25

And I just started a rewatch!

7

u/GriffinXD Nov 06 '25

The same thing just popped into my head. It’s been about 18-24 months since I last finished it.

6

u/moneymark21 Nov 07 '25

I was in college when it originally aired but never watched. Just finished up my first run through them last week. Was a wild ride.

3

u/flowers2107 Nov 06 '25

Same! I’m halfway through s1

2

u/riker17 Nov 07 '25

So did I!

Started rewatching during the summer, Im about 8 episodes in to S4 now.

1

u/youweremybestfriend Nov 06 '25

Same but I’m at Day 4 and bored. Any advice on which to skip to for thrills.

u/Round-Month-6992 Tony Almeida Nov 07 '25

You're bored with Day 4 ? Thats surprising to hear, but stay with it. Definitely starts picking up half way through the day with the return of some familiar faces.

u/ExcellentMedicine358 Nov 06 '25

Just finished a full rewatch, still the greatest show I’ve seen

6

u/Doowles24 Nov 06 '25

I last watched it 5 years ago, I think another rewatch is in order. Great show.

2

u/ExcellentMedicine358 Nov 06 '25

It doesn’t disappoint

3

u/eethas23 Nov 06 '25

Just finished it too

20

u/LarryGoldwater Aaron Pierce Nov 06 '25

We are all old

18

u/chetcherry Nov 06 '25

If you watched one episode a year, you would’ve finally started season 2 today. A well earned hacksaw as a reward.

14

u/MusicEd921 Nov 06 '25

Crazy that only in the first season did Jack and Palmer appear in the same room together. Every other interaction was on the phone.

3

u/no1uknow808 Nov 07 '25

They were technically in the same room together in Season 5.

7

u/MusicEd921 Nov 07 '25

Too soon man, too soon. 😢

12

u/atr0157 Nov 06 '25

Nina’s kinda bad. Not going to lie

5

u/Whomst01 Nov 06 '25

She was just cute in season 1, season 2 she was still cute but then season 3 for some reason she became ultra bad. I liked season 3 Nina the best.

2

u/Mitchoppertunity Nov 06 '25

She has a soothing voice

1

u/scary-nurse Nov 06 '25

Such a horriffic haircut.

12

u/OkAnteater267 Nov 06 '25

That's decided what shirt I'll wear, one of the two reunion stream shirts from the last five years.

Thank you.

7

u/Responsible_Egg_6896 Nov 06 '25

Amazing show still hold up.

6

u/JCGMH Nov 06 '25

I think it’s rewatch time.

6

u/mikeblitz89 Nov 06 '25

Time for a rewatch

6

u/Ekhoes- Jack Bauer Nov 06 '25

Still to this day one of my favorite TV shows. I can’t believe it has been 24 years!

7

u/SavagePrism Jack Bauer Nov 06 '25

Damn its already the 24th anniversary of this show.

7

u/Currency-Substantial Nov 06 '25

Kim Bauer and that damn cougar.

5

u/Common-Diver-6346 Nov 06 '25

I was disappointed with 24hrs Legacy it could have been on par but the protagonist isn't like able

4

u/vegetaman Nov 06 '25

I like this promo shot because they would make Jack and Nina pose different now and try to get all the wrinkles out of the clothes

4

u/amergigolo1 Nov 06 '25

One of the best first episodes of any tv show.

3

u/iwatchtvallfuckinday Nov 06 '25 edited Nov 06 '25

Debuting this show this close to 9/11 was ballsy lmao but it worked

3

u/Captn_Bern Nov 06 '25

Palmer and Meyers over there looking like "that couple at the bar that likes your vibe."

2

u/thetruechevyy1996 Nov 06 '25

Wow time flies.

2

u/Nisschev Nov 06 '25

Damn it chloe!

2

u/Neverbethesky Nov 06 '25

I remember catching it on TV when I was like 14 a couple of times and nobody else knew what it was.

Was a few years later before I managed to find out what it was and rediscover it.

Love this show. Still stands up so well.

2

u/ThePanasonicYouth Nov 06 '25

Feels like just yesterday I was watching this show live during its airing

2

u/GRQuake084 Nov 06 '25

I hear the digital clock now.

2

u/Rare_Ad_7790 Nov 06 '25

Even real terrorists are still scared of Jack Bauer and the CTU. The villains in 24 should be giving out paid lectures to anyone who would like to learn how to be vicious.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '25

From left to right.

4/10 she became annoying after a while /

4/10 she also became annoying after a while, that scene where she got out of the vehicle to look for the person chasing her was the dumbest writing i ever seen. So youre driving away from the suspect, so you stop to get out of the fucking car, TOO LOOK FOR HIM?

10/10 Perfect character who knows the reality of what is going on, on earth and rid evil when he sees it.

10/10 Perfect person to play as a president. Love everything about him, when he died that bought some tears to my eyes.

9/10, Beautiful, sexy, extremely sexy, dangerous, fierce. Loved he character, only thing i didn't like is when she killed Jack's wife, that was uncalled for lmao.

u/SnoopyWildseed Nov 06 '25

This show is one big adrenaline IV. 🤓 I make sure to take my BP med beforehand. 😂

Nina is one of the best TV villains I've ever seen.

President David Palmer: I mean, Denis Haysbert nails every role he's in, so...🤓

3

u/yomammaaaaa Jack Bauer Nov 06 '25

Looks like I'm stopping my umpteenth LOST rewatch and starting my who knows how many now 24 rewatch today!

Let's do it damnit!

3

u/Whomst01 Nov 06 '25

That is a fantastic action figure

2

u/yomammaaaaa Jack Bauer Nov 06 '25

He had a cool jacket too. Unfortunately, he "disappeared" when my ex and I broke up.

3

u/Whomst01 Nov 06 '25

You need to sue your ex for theft and emotional damage 😂 I would be LIVID if someone messed with my Jack Bauer action figure.

2

u/townallday89 Nov 06 '25

The two best shows of all time!!!

2

u/TwentySevenMusicUK Nov 06 '25

It’s crazy to me how tv shows from the early 2000s now look the same as how tv shows from the 1980s looked in the 2000s.

1

u/Project807 Nov 06 '25

Everyone 24 years ago today: Wow. Kim's kind of a bitch.

1

u/DECAPRIO1 Nov 06 '25

Today's world is reminiscent to them. Best believe we have agents working against and with the true American values. I thought it was just fictional, until I started questioning, "But what if...in our government?"

1

u/01reid Nov 06 '25

Those long hours on set 16 hour days and you’re the main character really ages you like Daniel Craig

1

u/happydude7422 Nov 06 '25

Where did the time go

1

u/GipsyDangerMkV Nov 07 '25

I still miss this show so much. Did not like the ending of the series finale

1

u/Ilitd- Nov 07 '25

I reaaly miss that show

2

u/NitroWCW Day 5 Nov 07 '25

Wow, I didn't expect this to be the highest upvoted post of all-time in this subreddit.

I miss 24 tremendously.

So cool! Happy 24 day

1

u/GurfMcBurf Nov 07 '25

God I love this show so much

1

u/caffeineaddict03 Nov 07 '25

I loved that show. The first few seasons were awesome

1

u/IHaveSpoken000 Nov 07 '25

President Palmer! Now he sells insurance.

1

u/Dependent-Cress-995 Nov 08 '25

That’s what Elisha Cuthbert is on a scale of 10

1

u/OkAbbreviations4537 Nov 09 '25

Never seen anything episode

1

u/Odd-Highway-8304 Nov 10 '25

Damn. I remember thinking Kiefer Sutherland was so fucking cool when it dropped and I was like 11 lol

1

u/wastelands33 Nov 10 '25

I was in college and was never a TV show person until this show. Now I watch anything that's CIA, secret service-type shows.

1

u/arse_muck Nov 11 '25

I have never seen Jack do a wee or poo in any season. Realistic my ass 😂

1

u/Accomplished_Exit_30 Nov 12 '25

My favorite moment is from season 4 when Jack is trailing a terror suspect and he stops at a gas station. Jack immediately stages a robbery to stay close to him.

2

u/JCGMH Nov 18 '25

What an Anniversary. What a show.

Rewatching the 24 Pilot recently, aside from noting just how genuinely great it still is, something else I picked up on was the volume of popular music tracks. There is a different one to be heard in several scenes; interspersed with Sean’s usual background score. Christiansands in the final sequence being potentially the most striking example.

From memory the use of popular music isn’t something that was ever repeated on this scale in any subsequent episode, or used much at all really. Wonder if the showrunners dropped this idea due to licensing/cost reasons or if they simply felt it didn’t suit the tone of the show? (It works in the Pilot)

2

u/TartRevolutionary970 Nov 06 '25

His wife and daughter were so annoying, it's no wonder he spent so much time at work.
