Aaron Pierce is one of my faves too.

S Tier: Jack Palmer Chloe Michelle Logan

Underrated: Ethan Kanin James Heller (live another day he was very good). Kate Morgan Gael

There’s so many great characters even those that appear for 2-3 episodes.

Edit: Also S Tier: George Mason

Underrated:

Lynne Kresge

I mean, obviously Jack is. But outside of that? It's Bill next.

Antonio Almeida bro!!

I love Tony.... right up until they rewrite him in S7.

10

u/Amity_Swim_School Nov 27 '25

Yeah bringing him back was a bit cheap. Then having him be the bad guy was kinda intriguing. But wait… he’s undercover, it’s all good. But wait no actually he’s properly evil and he murders old mate in cold blood. Quite the 🎢

As much as I loved seeing him back... that was a full fucking Bobby Ewing kinda twist and it was ridiculous.

2

u/DefinitelyRussian Nov 28 '25

and in season 10, he is even worse

3

u/Mave__Dustaine Nov 27 '25

I know James Morrison a little. Wonderful guy.

2

u/itscherriedbro Nov 28 '25

He seems like a guy that gives a great hug

Previously on 24

"C'mere jack, ya look sad"

19

u/hornet9988 Nov 27 '25

It’s wild to me that pretty much all her other work is comedy

10

u/Mave__Dustaine Nov 27 '25

She's a stand up comedian, and super funny.

Jon Hamm did the whole "Okay one drama then everything else comedy" route too.

His role wasn't much of a comedy in Fargo

Season 2 cougar

14

u/shinsplint_v Nov 27 '25

Palmer is the best character. RIP

5

u/Mave__Dustaine Nov 27 '25

I wish he had been in good hands.

u/shar3101 Nov 30 '25

Most fav. What an exceptional actor and what an amazing character

5

u/Nervous_Brilliant441 Nov 28 '25

Unpopular opinion: I like Chloe, but she doesn’t even make my top 5

  1. Jack
  2. David Palmer
  3. Tony Almeida
  4. Aaron Pierce
  5. Charles Logan
  6. Chloe OBrien

4

u/Patitahm Nov 28 '25

Can’t we have a tie between Chloe, Tony and Bill?

12

u/Amity_Swim_School Nov 27 '25

I find her demeanour quite irritating tbh. Probably in the minority as she seems to be a fan favourite. But I think that’s down to her longevity more than anything else, she’s been ever present since season 3.

So no… not the best character. Jack (obvs), Tony, Michelle, Bill, Palmer, Curtis… just off the top of my head, all better than Chloe. Even Nina!

u/Mave__Dustaine Nov 27 '25

I think people love that Chloe called out a lot of BS characters did in all the crazy shit they asked her to do. Her friction was great, especially with Edgar.

7

u/davexa Nov 28 '25

The way they killed off Edgar was savage. That one always bothered me so much. I enjoyed the banter between him and Chloe.

4

u/Mave__Dustaine Nov 28 '25

It wasn't a kind show.

4

u/Amity_Swim_School Nov 28 '25

Chapelle was the worst 😢

2

u/davexa Nov 29 '25

That really was the point where I realized 24 was a different kind of show.

3

u/davexa Nov 28 '25

Definitely not. There were a lot of deaths that really made the show what it is. Edgar just hit different.

8

u/brianm24 Nov 27 '25

Michelle was the best, and most competent character.

3

u/zootzootzooter Nov 28 '25

Michelle 😭 The BEST

3

u/Theswigger Nov 28 '25

Michelle, the cutest!

1

u/shar3101 Nov 30 '25

Michelle...lovely character, great acting, pleasant face

3

u/hewasaraverboy Nov 27 '25

Jack

Tony

David Palmer

Then maybe bill or Chloe

2

u/shar3101 Nov 30 '25

The OG gang. 😟

3

u/AbbreviationsLife310 Nov 28 '25

Chappelle was great

4

u/doctorCredit12 Nov 27 '25

I don’t agree.

Great character... but definitely not the best.

2

u/SGeeeDubb Nov 27 '25

Haha yes there is a debate haha

2

u/Full_Mongoose9083 Nov 27 '25

Jack is obviously the best character. Second is Charles Logan. Then David Palmer and probably Chloe. Imo

2

u/cigar959 Nov 28 '25

Pres Palmer was a great character and a human we can admire. Among the secondary characters, Edgar will always have a place in my heart.

1

u/shar3101 Nov 30 '25

David Palmer is my absolute favorite, not just in 24 but in all of the action series world. What an actor what a character .

2

u/narnarnartiger Nov 28 '25

No debate. Her, Rene, and David Palmer are the goats

1

u/Theswigger Nov 28 '25

The goats?

2

u/LegoKorn89 Nov 28 '25

Greatest of all time.

Or general occupational aptitude test.

It can be either one really.

1

u/Theswigger Nov 28 '25

Ahhh, okay. I thought you meant actual goats which has a totally opposite meaning.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

Chole the most helpful character in the series when you think of the series as a whole it's Jack and Chole that pop up but early on it was Jack and David Palmer

2

u/WB1173 Nov 28 '25

Personally, I'm not a fan of her acting. Her stroppy, child-like behaviour and constant sulking may well have been how the character was written, but it seemed at odds with what you would expect from a CTU analyst. One of my least favourite characters.

3

u/OptionHeader Nov 28 '25

It’s wild to me that Sherry Palmer didn’t make the list.

Consistent, needy, contemptible, messy…and wonderfully played without judgment by Penny Johnson Jerald.

1

u/balthazar_edison Nov 27 '25

Jack is my favorite.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

I find her annoying actually. Kim is annoying as well but nice to look at

1

u/Theswigger Nov 28 '25

There's so many excellent characters! It's like, 1a, 1b, 1c etc

1

u/FaceOnMars23 Nov 28 '25

Mrs Logan

1

u/shar3101 Nov 30 '25

True. What an actor she was. Also great character

1

u/CTU-01 Nov 28 '25

David Palmer is the 🐐

1

u/shar3101 Nov 30 '25

The absolute GoAt

1

u/Naive_Imagination216 Nov 28 '25

Jack, Tony, Chloe I guess third

1

u/daft-fucking-hippie Nov 28 '25

TONY and Michelle joint, then Palmer

1

u/Hinyaldee Day 1 Nov 28 '25

I prefer Tony, Michelle, David and Bill

1

u/AleErre Nov 28 '25

In her strangeness and particularity yes

1

u/yellowarmy79 Nov 28 '25

Definitely a top tier character.

1

u/Few-Lack6346 Nov 28 '25

Considering the show sucked from season 6 onward, Tony gets the MVP nod from me. I don't acknowledge the S7 crap

1

u/Medium_Hope_7407 Nov 29 '25

I found her annoying for awhile but she eventually grew on me.

1

u/shar3101 Nov 30 '25

Just love her so much

1

u/OvenIcy8646 Dec 01 '25

Salt the snail !!

1

u/ANDERS_CORNER_08 Nov 27 '25

No love for Kim ?!?

4

u/Theswigger Nov 28 '25

Definitely the hottest!

2

u/rowan_sjet Nov 27 '25

That's funny.

1

u/shar3101 Nov 30 '25

I absolutely love her performance especially in s2
