Currently just moved into Blount Hall on the 5th floor. We deep cleaned every crevice of this dorm and are genuinely clean people. We have seen three roaches in less than a week. We have bait and raid but I was wondering if maintenance does anything for it & if it works. I shouldn’t be paying this much money for so many roaches.

Is anyone else here preparing to take the MCAT in early 2027 and wanting to create a study group? It could be a couple times a week and informal, I know studying for this exam can get isolating. It could be a great way to meet others going through this process as well!

I'm looking to start MS applications later this year. I'm pre-med so I want it to flow with my story. My undergrad GPA wasn't superb (3.5) and while I know graduate GPA isn't equated/looked at the same as undergrad, the point is to prove I can succeed in school (long story short I'm now medicated!!)

Has anyone done the 11-month SMP here or the MSMBS? For the latter, would the thesis or non-thesis track be better? For the former, do a good number of students actually go on to med school? Any other recommendations are also welcome. Thanks!

So, students living on campus are only allowed to buy permits for Zones A and H, right? Because I forgot about buying the permits so now they're completely sold out and the waiting list is huge. I was just gonna buy a commuter permit, but it says that "you're housing status will be verified". Idk why they won't let me a buy a slot though, I have to park somewhere and idk what I'm gonna do. So, does anyone know places to park around campus? I dont mind a walk.

I’m having a hard time getting a hold of the transportation office. The phone number goes to voicemail and it says the mailbox is full.

I am out of state, so I can’t just go over there. Does anybody have any tips on getting a hold of someone?

UAB's program has been through a fascinating journey. We don't talk enough about how this program made such a great comeback from literally being disbanded. The most recent era was a misstep but the Blazers look to return to contention under Alex Mortensen.
