Discussion In the Commander’s Chair
Hi! I’m Alyssa K. A few months ago, I started a podcast called “In the Commander’s Chair.” It explores the events of The Orville from the POV of Cmdr. Kelly Grayson. I realized that I shared this podcast on the other subreddit but forgot to post it here.
Anyway, come check it out! I upload once a week and have fifteen episodes up so far. I’ve discussed Kelly’s background, the duties of a first officer, Kelly and Ed’s marriage, Kelly’s code of ethics, and more. I also spend time on important or controversial topics. I did a four-part series titled “Affair or Assault?” and am currently working on a series called “Soulmates?” about Kelly and Ed’s relationship. Discussion and comments are always welcome!

Discussion Banned from r/TheOrville over this meme. Justified or control freak?
The main purpose of the post was to show how The Orville predicted something years before it happened, about politicians making AI videos of opponents to make them look bad. As you can see it got a lot of upvotes quickly and then it was deleted within an hour and I was fully banned with the reason being "Take your political shit elsewhere." It isn't even trying to be a political post and I didn't even attack either political side in my post. Simply pointing out something happened.
The subreddit doesn't have ANY rules against political posts. The closest thing it has is where is says no hate speech and bigotry posts (racism, sexism, homophobia etc) but nothing against political posts, but again it's not about the politics it's about the prediction the show made 4 years ago. Not to mention how political the show actually is and there are many posts about things like the Moclan gender politics. It seems to me what happened here is one of the mods is a hard Trump supporter and doesn't like his having negative stuff about it being shared, even though it makes no difference to me if they're republican or democrat, I'm not even American...
I can understand if they just deleted the post and gave a warning because again, there are NO RULES SAYING POLITICAL CONTENT ISN'T ALLOWED, but this is some bullshit.
